Wonderful location, with superb views especially from the dining room and lounge area. Free wifi, which was useful as phones are out of range. A good base for walking. Ardnamurchan light house and Sanna are well worth a visit. Also convenient for the ferry (car and foot) to Mull. Food was excellent, with fresh veg from the Community Garden across... More

A great hotel as a base for a holiday in Ardnamurchan. We had great holiday here with visits to Sanna Bay, Ardnamurchan lighthouse and a visit to Tobermory. The hotel is extremely comfortable with a lovely bar/restaurant and the food is always amazing, and uses fresh vegetables from the community garden. The steak pie is just delicious. Sheena and her... Richard and Michael - we thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing 4-day break at sonachan. Lovely family - was great to meet sheena, Caitlin and innes who catered for our every need. The area is beautiful, particularly the walk over the hill to sanna bay. Great food in the hotel restaurant too. Pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely like to return.

We had a great holiday in Ardnamurchan where we based ourselves at the Sonachan hotel while visiting Tobermory on the Isle of mull , the lighthouse on Ardnamurchan point and also sanna bay beach which you should google image. The hotel is family run with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and also a dog friendly hotel. We found the food... More

Stopped off for a night on a mini road trip up to Orkney and had a fab night. Lovely food, welcoming people and on a trip to the lighthouse after dinner we were lucky enough to see the islands in a purple haze as the sun went down. If you like remote and cracking views this is the place for... More

absolutely lovely atmosphere, good food, good breakfasts and such a lovely area in kilchoan. Stayed for 3 nights, on the second night mid dinner the chef seemed to have a breakdown shouting and swearing while me and my partner were eating, thankfully though the owner jumped straight on it and the incident cleared up quickly with the chef seemingly leaving... This "Farmhouse" b and B advertised locally as an Hotel is set in a beautiful location, the bar and waiting staff were very helpful and friendly. However as seen in previous reviews - there was television service in our two rooms although the televisions were still in the rooms. There was no indication about why they didn't work - so... More

Hi, thanks for your review, we will take the room servicing issue on board. I can assure you that all our rooms are cleaned daily though some minor repairs are required in certain areas, but as you noted, we have just acquired the building and the bookings so, as said in previous reviews, short of cancelling your holiday we have... We had a great time at this hotel. It's in a beautiful location, very scenic and ideal for walking , cycling, getting away from it all and as a base to visit Mull, Iona , Staffa and Fingals cave. The food and friendliness were excellent. We will definitely return.

This is the most westerly hotel in mainland Britain, situated at the tip of the Ardnmurchan peninsula, some 55 miles from a decent-sized town (Fort William), largely on single track roads. As such, one would expect aspects to be a little more rough-edged than in a town hotel but this place nevertheless has clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, good free... More

Still finding its feet after change of management.Very friendly but they need a house-keeper. A bit disorganized but great food and friendly staff made for it. Rooms, good size and modern. Rooms weren't made-up during day which one would expect from a hotel . No TV in room but hear that this will be rectified.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review, I take all these seriously as feedback, good and bad, is important to me. I have taken your thoughts on rooms being made up during the day and we will now be asking customers if they would like this service at the booking in stage, as some customers prefer total privacy....
