After spending hours trying to find a place to stay that gave us a sense of real Amazon life I finally came across Yoi Eco tours. I booked it on line and we opted for a 3 night stay with 4 days of activities. From the moment that we were picked up by Julian at the airport I knew that... More

We would highly recommend Yoi Ecoutour for your Amazon trip. Although we only stayed 2 nights/3 days, they gave us an amazing experience. Went for the piranha fishing (and actually got some!), saw pink and grey dolphins, monkeys, tarantula, a lot of birds and parrots, bugs, spiders, visit to Puerto Nariño, ... The food was excellent: the piranha's taste so... More

I went to the ecolodge all on my own in March, and had a wonderful stay there. It situated far from any city or town, and surrounded by jungle and animal smells, sounds and impressions. I had my "own" local guide, Reinaldo, who told me everything about his own Ticuna indigenous culture ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ticuna_people ), including stories, superstitions and everyday... I cannot say enough positive things about Yoi Ecotours. If you want an authentic, well-run vacation in the Amazon, this is your place. Julian and his staff are extremely accommodating, knowledgable, and work their hardest to ensure that your experience is everything that you want. The only draw back is how quickly the time passes while you're there. If you... More

I just left from 4 nights at Yoi. I had a great time, as it was a well-run lodge that was deep in the rainforest and up the river that you had a sense of adventure and being immersed in Amazon, however, still had many luxuries though rustic. My guide, Rey, is the king! Very knowledgeable about wildlife but also... More

My wife and I stayed at YOI in January of 2015 and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Considering how remote the locations is, I couldn't believe the level of service Julian and his staff were able to offer. Food was prepared fresh, the guides were extremely knowledgeable and able to accommodate any combination of activities we wanted to... More

Time passes by so quickly, so it´s already 3 months ago we´ve visited the Amazon. However I do not want to miss to write a few words to those who are still searching for the perfect trip and give my recommendation. For us it has been a fabulous experience. We´re always searching for something individual organized by people who appreciate... More

We spend 3 nights at Yoi Eco Lodge and this was an amazing adventure. You'll find that place in the jungle after 3 hours boat drive from Leticia. Staying there, without electricity, makes you being part of the nature. To hear the voices of the jungle, especially by night, to see and touch the animals makes the stay unforgetable. Julian... I still recall how wonderful this experience was. Brilliant sensational memories of a fabulous week with Julian and his team. A real Colombia highlight and a must do. There for 5 nights enjoying the forest, wildlife, people and the sensational rivers.

Amazing stay at Yoi Ecolodge. Like other reviews have mentioned, you are truly staying in the jungle--two hours up the Amazon from Leticia and another 45 min up a tributary! Lodging is basic but comfortable: bunks with mosquito nets, bathrooms with running water (but not heated), generous meals with local ingredients. Excellent level of customer service: from the minute we... More
