In short: Yoi made our trip to the Amazon unforgettable. I would recommend it unreservedly to anyone who wants to really get out into the jungle, wants to patronize an organization that is closely bound to the local community and prioritizes a real, not manufactured experience. In detail: From the practical side of things, organization is very good. It's no... More

We had a great time at Yoi ecolodge. It takes a bit of time to reach the lodge, it's located right in the national park, but it is well worth it. The lodge is set-up with great care according the traditional building constructions, surrounded by a beautiful garden. Our guide Ray and translator Salome were absolutely great. They knew a... My wife and I recently stayed at Yoi, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this lovely and charming outpost. I will summarize the pros and cons of our time in the Amazon as follows: CONS: You arrive first in Leticia to await transfer. Leticia is off-putting. It is sad to see the local population litter and nonchalantly throw trash... More

We visited Colombia in January and wanted to visit the Amazon region. We chose Yoi Ecolodge due to the reviews on TripAdvisor. We were left, unfortunately, feeling disappointed and ripped off. We arrived in Leticia at about 9am and we were met at the airport by a Yoi representative and then spent until 2pm killing time in Leticia. We only... More

Hi David, I am sorry you felt that you were poorly attended and did not receive your money's worth. However I should point out that you were well informed before hand the times when the boats would be leaving Leticia and when they would be returning to Leticia. I also wonder who in particular you felt gave you poor service... More

Absolutely excellent experience, from arriving in Leticia to being dropped back at the airport at the end of the trip. Yoi is in a national park around 3-3.5 hrs from Leticia by public and private boat so has a real sense of peace and immersion in an absolutely beautiful part of the world. There is great atmosphere and wildlife viewing... More

ABOUT THE LODGE: We wanted to visit a birding lodge on the Colombian Amazon, near Leticia but not so near that it was overrun with tourists. Yoi Eco Lodge met our needs perfectly. We were three hours from Leticia by river boat. We were the only guests until our last day when another couple came in. Julian, the manager, worked... More

One week in the Amazon but we seemed to pack in one months worth of amazing wildlife watching guided by Julian and his local guides. Ours was a real adventure getting close to nature in a way that was tailored to our particular interests but also offering us other experiences which we will remember forever. We did a 3 day... Staying at YOI Amazon Ecotours lodge was a very unique experience. Our guide - Julian - has lots of knowledge about the Amazonian forest, animals and birds and made us feel very welcomed. We were leaving in lodge in the National Park, where sounds of the nature are just amazing! Camp is based approximately 3 hours away from Leticia by... More

If you can survive a few days without electricity but with plenty of Solar-powered LED lights, candles, running water and mosquito nets, then you must stay with Julian at Yoi Ecolodges and experience this unique and marvelous corner of the Amazon. Julian is incredibly knowledgeable and offers a full range of activities to fit any style from laid back to... More
