We took a trip to Ol MacDonald before school let out (end of June) and we went during the week (Mon - Fri). I think this was a great time of year to visit and it was actually really quiet because summer holidays hadn't started yet. We were in spot #27 which we thought was very nice and close (but... More

We have been going every summer for the past 4 years. We love it! We've stayed in the cabins as well as set up tents. Nice beach - lake stays shallow a long way and so far, blue-green algae hasn't been a problem. That's a big deal because for the past few years, the lakes in central Alberta had been... More

The Good: - lots of activities for the kids to do (pedal carts, playgrounds, merry go round, arcade, petting zoo, basketball court) - beach is large and water stays shallow quite a ways out - music is played at the beach - fireworks show on long weekends - showers are $1 for five minutes, decent length of time - good... Cute place to entertain kids for a weekend. Lots to keep them entertained, and they are totally bagged after a day here. If you want full hook ups, it is literally a parking lot. I used a cabin and it was comfortable, but the bathroom was gross! The toilet seat may have been here before the campground was built.

Booked a cabin for $400.00+ a night - this is the biggest rip off you can imagine. 2 Bedrooms, each with a 3/4 bed - in horrible shape. Sleeping in them is torture, not exaggerating, pulled out the tens machine after the first night to get relief! I think they got furniture from the dump, cupboards didn't look much better... More

Great campground! Our son loved it. Great place for kids from the playgrounds everywhere to the clean beach. Must visit place for the summer!! The cinnamon buns are worth the drive alone. Speed limit is enforced which is great for kids.

My husband, daughter and I drove out for an afternoon to visit friends staying at the site. We drove for 2 1/2 hours and upon arriving were told that there was a music festival going on and we would have to pay $50 per person! We tried to explain that we were not attending the festival and were merely visiting... More

We stayed here over the long weekend with our two kids and two dogs and like some of the reviews warned had to pay extra for everything. I was shocked at the size of the sites. They were just big enough for our trailer. With the awning out there was about ten feet to the neighbour. Sitting around the fire... More

This campsite would be all around amazing if not for the very sexualy explicid arade game they have for the children. This Arcade is only every found in bars but the owner keeps it for the kids because its the most popular. A year ago I very considerately brought this to the owners attention and she behaved as though she... More

This place has great potential but until they make some changes, we definitely will not be back. Yes, it's a good place for kids with lots to do (train, merry go round, pedal carts, mini golf, arcade, movies most nights, petting zoo, etc...). The staff all seemed nice. The beach is awesome. Large, sandy, warm shallow water. They also have... More
