I spent four nights at this most pleasant family-run hotel, particularly enjoying my evening meals there. You choose from the menu displayed in the bar, which can feature locally-caught seafood such as monkfish and Barra scampi, and then dine in either the bar or the restaurant which has a lovely view across the harbour.

Fantastic hosts, warm welcome, beautiful location and views. Fabulous time and a brilliant break. The owners, Karen & Calum, could not have been more welcoming and ensured that we had everything we needed to ensure that we had the best stay. Traditional decor, comfortable rooms and friendly people. The hotel has roaring fire on cold days, lovely lounge area, and... More

Had our annual break to the Lochboisdale Hotel earlier this month. Yet again a fantastic relaxing break. Excellent food, varied menu and competitive prices. Friendly locals, good banter !. A nice relaxing area for those who wish to get away from it all and chill. Staff friendly and attentive. We shall most certainly return next Year !!

Calum & Karen were the nicest people, so relaxed and friendly, they told us the best places to go,,ie beaches, restaurants, the easiest hills to walk. In the evening they were the loveliest hosts, gorgeous fire in the winter months. Couldn't be happier. Will definitely return, all the staff were friendly and happy to help, whatever the questions

Our room was in need of an overhaul, the shower was a handheld one over the bath and there was a bowl to catch dripping water on the windowsill. The bed was comfy though. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the landlady

Had a fantastic few days in the highlands & Islands but was a shame to spend our last night here. The hotel must of been magnificent in the past and in a stunning location, however the hotel was looking rundown and was generally unheated. We were looking forward to our evening meal after reviewing the menu in the room, however... More

The Lochboisdale hotel is literally located 20 meters from the ferry terminal, which is very convenient after the long and rocky journey from Oban. The building itself could probably benefit from a little refurbishing (water damage stains are apparent in many areas) but the rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. The owner is very nice and cares for his... More

Set at the head of Loch Boisdale, the hotel has stunning views down the loch towards Skye. It's a family run hotel where Karen and Calum ( the owners ) have invested time and what I suspect to be a great deal of money modernising and making the rooms really, really lovely. I spend 2-3 weeks a month out on... More

It was alright for a night's stay but wouldn't go out of my way for it. Room was nice if a bit 1970s. Food was average but the service was not. Waited ages at the bar and it seemed to be a hassle for me to get a pint. Female travelling alone. The lounge area was dirty, fireplace hadn't been... More

Great location, rooms well equipped with beautiful views. Calum and all staff so helpful, made to feel very welcome. Food in restaurant delicious. Ended up staying an extra night due to weather, but couldn't have been happier staying here! Looking forward to returning. Thank you for having us!
