In all my years of travel I have been in some good and bad hotels and B&B's. Relais San Pietro would have to rank as one of the best. If you are looking for a great base in the Tuscany, hire a car and stay in this great family run farm house. The people are warm and friendly, the food... More

Small, clean, quiet inn.The proprietor is a true gentleman who works very hard to make your stay enjoyable. The food, both breakfast and dinner, is first rate though the menu is smaller as you would expect with a hotel of this size. Out of the way, but not inconvenient location. The pool is very private. There are incredible views. The... More

This is a wonderful place to relax and unwind in Tuscany. Upon arrival as you drive up the mountain you are greeting with beautiful flowers and a rose garden. The rooms have lots of character and very nice. They are clean and comfortable. The pilows are flat however and we needed to use our bath towels underneath for support. There... More

Absolutely delightful!!!! A tranquil and relaxing setting overlooking breathtaking views both during the day and at night. Impeccably clean with meticulous details. We enjoyed the lovely small touches like fresh fruit and flowers in our room each day. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable! The only problem was the noisy air conditioner which we had to use because of... More

I’ve just stayed at the most idyllic hotel in Tuscany, and wanted to share my find. It’s in southern Tuscany, not far from Arezzo and Cortona, but it’s right in the countryside, on a small hill overlooking the most beautiful landscape. The nearest town is Castiglion Fiorentino, which has a train station, but I would definitely recommend hiring a car... More

The Relais San Pietro is in a beautiful place but our week-long stay last year was marred by the rather stuffy manner of the owner. Everything was perfectly arranged but to the extent of verging on the unwelcoming. We hardly dared sit in the lounge (and after day 1 did not) and felt that we were constantly under the eagle... We spent six nights at the Relais in September 2005. For the most part, iw was wonderful. We stayed in the Suite Glicene, which included two very large rooms and nice bathroom that, unfortunately, had a "plumbing" smell problem. The views are gorgeous, and the location is convenient for day trips to portions of Tuscany and Unbria. While the food... More

This is a gem of a place that has beauty, charm and comfort! The proprieter, Senore Protti is a gentleman of the old style and he oversees everything. The staff is gracious and charming. The scenery is breathtaking! The food in the onsite resteraunt , overlooking the valley is fantastic! Wonderful service, impeccably clean, great cuisine, wonderful wines- I want... More

Dreaming of a tranquil, small hotel with a vista overlooking olive trees, cypress, hills, and vineyards. Look no further...book ahead. The Relais San Pietro is really a jewel. Everything in this hotel is done to perfection-simple, straightforward, without any pretention. It has twelve rooms, fabulous service, country food for its guests. Vine ripened cherry tomatoes, still on their stems, showed... More

We stayed at Relais San Pietro 3 years ago and adored it. We returned this month, spending the last 4 days of our vacation there, hopeful that our memories were accurate....What a treat. Signore Protti and his family have created a lovely peaceful quietly elegant retreat. Relais San Pietro is a small family run hotel...created by restoring (beautifully) an old... More
