My wife and I and our two children aged 4 and 7 stayed for 3 nights in January. We stayed in the Ah Moy cottage which was very comfortable and well designed. The next few days we spent around the farm mostly spotting animals and kayaking up the river where we fished for trout (a few bites), gem fossicked and... More

We stayed four nights in "Ah Back" cottage at the start of our Tasmanian holiday. Exceptionally well designed cottage, clean, well equipped and breakfast provisions too. This is the standard that every self contained accommodation should aspire to and spoiled us, as we did not find anything else to match. Owners Graham and Christine were really helpful and knowledgeable. This... More

We took a couple of nights here in the middle of our Tassie adventure. Despite big plans to see the area we stayed on the farm for the day. Mostly platypus spotting (we did have a fleeting glimpse of one). Really enjoyed it. We got some meat from the local butcher in Scottsdale and veg from a few shops down... More

We had a wonderful two night stay in the romantic setting of the Tin Dragon cottages. The space is so peaceful, and cottages well appointed, clean and comfortable. The outdoor spa was excellent for a glass of bubbles and gazing at the starry sky. Graham and Christine were very accommodating and passionate about the area and its history. Bring your... More

Graham and Christine looked after us for few days there across the New Years. Beautiful setting and lots to explore. One of the highlights were the local platypus, which showed off for the camera and the big brown trout Sharon hooked onto. Tip: take a landing net down with you.

What amazing photos of the platypus. I am so jealous. Of course I never have my camera with me when a platypus comes over to say hello...and soon as I take out the camera the platypus hides. S/he was having a good old scratch. Oh and I feel your pain about the lost trout--it truely was the big one that... More

We (a couple) stayed here for 3 nights in Jan 2015. The hosts were very lovely - up for a chat but also didn't intrude on our privacy. We stayed in the small cottage that was a bit cheaper than the others because the outside hadn't been fully finished (but this made no difference to us, just a few cosmetic... More

We stayed four nights in Ah Moi Cottage in late November. Christine and Graham and their son james were very friendly , caring and helpful. You can learn a lot from them about sustainability and challenges of leaving in north east Tasmania. The cottages are very beautifully made and clean and it has everything that you need .the location is... More

My husband and I spent a week in this idyllic setting in September this year. We were warmly welcomed by Graham and Christine and shown into Ah Moy cottage with its well provisioned little kitchen. The gas log fire was delightful and cosy and the bed very comfortable. We used their canoe in the stream behind the cottages and and... More

We spent two nights at the Ah Moy Cottage and our only regret is that we could not stay longer. The accommodation and its content was excellent. It had everything we needed. Our hosts Chris and Graham could not have been more helpful. They have done a great job developing Tin Dragon Trail Cottages and we wish them every success... More
