Really beautiful part of Tassie, Truly wonderful cottage with all the mod cons whilst maintaining a sense of nature and a real rustic feel. The cottage was cosy on the coldest of weekends. The farm setting is tranquil yet on the doorstep of some great mountain biking trails and hiking/walking trails. Truly recommend this for a weekend away or longer.

Having stayed in numerous deluxe cottages and B&B accommodations around Australia, this place truly stands out as being the best yet. I could not fault any aspect of our all too brief 2 night stay in our cute little cottage. The kitchen is perfect for self catering and has everything you need. The bed is big and comfortable and the... More

My husband did his research here! From the friendly greeting from Bruce to the creek, alpacas and outdoor spa bath in Tassie ( day and night!),- and don't get me started on the amazing his 'n hers double shower - so much divine luxury and privacy- wished we could have stayed longer. Thinking of a place to relax? Go no... More

I booked the romantic package for 2 nights to finish off our camping trip around Tasmania. We are both in 20's and it was more than accommodating for our age group and for all others too. It was so peaceful and relaxing along with the great hospitality! The spa and the little canoe available to take down the river really... More

Beautiful quiet location, excellent well appointed clean cottage. Kids loved feeding the alpacas and going for a canoe down the river. Had a lovely stay, thanks Bruce & Penny. The local region has lots to see, waterfalls, beautiful forests and the cafés have plenty of local produce to indulge in!

We enjoyed a wonderful drive from St Mary's through the north east. This place was much anticipated, after touring for 10 days we were looking forward to staying here. We were not disappointed. It's a short drive off the main road but feels quite isolated. We stayed in Chintook Cottage withe outdoor spa. After a thorough introduction from Graham and... More

We stayed in the Ah Ping Cottage. Our hosts were really helpful and friendly. We loved the trail walk. The rain-head shower was a bonus, too! Beautiful creek running through the property so bring suitable gear for a paddle. A+P, Sydney.

The spa cottage at Tin Dragon is magic - everything provided, very comfy, lots of friendly extra touches available on request. Great spot for magnificent walks -Ralph's Falls, Mt Victoria, Musselroe Beach, the Cuckoo Falls near Scottsdale - the Rhubarb Shop and gallery in Scottsdale- a great area all round!!

We stayed with 3 other couple for 2 nights, and then stayed on for our wedding anniversary. All 4 of our cottages were very clean and comfortable; 3 were romantic getaways for 2, including the outdoor spa (under amazingly clear skies); and the 4th was 2 bedroom, so lots of space. We gathered at the communal picnic area between the... More

We stayed there for 2 nights. Rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable. The kitchen has all the things we want and we had a wonderful meal during our 9-day jounary. Also, the Alpaca are so cute and friendly. In fact, we are unable to find Alpaca early in the morning(they went to the other side of the farm). However, the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We offer romance, seclusion and privacy in fully self-contained two-bedroom and studio spa-cottages each with river views - situated on a 36 acre bush alpaca farm. Each cottage has a private outdoor dining area with bar-be-que and the studio cottages have an outdoor heated spa. Principles of ecological sustainability are combined with the comforts of a luxurious retreat. Your only disturbance might be from the occasional inquisitive pademelon or soaring eagle. This stretch of the Ringarooma River is favored by fly fishermen. Chinese heritage is celebrated with an interpretation centre, landscape art and walking tracks through historic mining and water races. ... more   less
