Hotel Jokkmokk was a very pleasant hotel set on a lake and we wished we had had more time to spend there. The bedroom was of a good size and dinner was one of the best we had in our 15 day journey around Sweden and Norway. Over an excellent breakfast we met the Hairy Bikers and their TV crewe... More

As others have said, there isn't much effort to please or do better, which is a pity as we might want to return to the area. The room was functional. It was adequate for an overnight stay but not particularly attractive or welcoming, nor thoroughly cleared of previous occupants' forgotten items. It was at the side without a lake view.... More

We stayed overnight at this hotel. Our room was fine, good curtains to shut out the daylight, so we could get some sleep. Having a room at the back with a view to the lake, we could leave the window open and not be disturbed. The breakfast buffet was extensive, however, wish they had some decent sized cups and could... I was travelling alone for work and was allocated a tiny room at the farthest point from the reception- this was really annoying. There is no lift or luggage trolley and the stairs up to the floors are complicated (many levels and directions) and difficult to navigate with a suitcase. The included buffet dinner and breakfast were adequate and the... More

I've stayed here for business a number of times during the winter months. It's pretty much the only hotel around so they don't try too hard. Everything is ok but not great. Rooms are clean but feel more like a 90s hostel (14" TVs? Come on!). Plenty of common areas and good parking. Wifi is free but might not reach... More

This is a large hotel, with large parking and wide rooms. Very silent. We had a relatively good dinner, self service, but a bit too "mediterranean": several ypes of olives, feta cheese.. we were looking for more Swedish food. The lakeside is very close and we suggest to walk around it: it takes only 40'-50' and is very lovely.

As the only large hotel in Jokkmokk, you get the impression that they don't feel the need to make much of an effort. The rooms are clean and functional. The staff were helpful when you asked for anything, but not forthcoming with any information otherwise. The hotel restaurant was fully booked on the evening when we arrived, so we had... More

Traveling with a group, we had a single night here having come on the inlandsbanen. The location was lovely and peaceful, overlooking the lake. The building had a spacious feel with good size, clean if a little dated, rooms. We were grateful for the effective curtains to make the room dark enough to sleep in full night-time daylight. I suspect... More

We chose Hotel Jokkmokk based on the info on their own website. We wanted to treat ourselves to a final luxery after travelling in Swedish Lapland. There was no "warm reception as soon as we entered the lobby". We had to wait for someone to arrive, no friendly welcome and our room keys were programmed incorrectly. The hotel info stated... More

I was here following the end of an Ultra Marathon around the Arctic Circle and we were all put up here, all 40 of us. We had an awards ceremony which was put on by the hotel. The food was great. It was buffet style and there was plenty of it. The reindeer meat was awesome. And the buffet breakfast... More
