I was travelling alone for work and was allocated a tiny room at the farthest point from the reception- this was really annoying. There is no lift or luggage trolley and the stairs up to the floors are complicated (many levels and directions) and difficult to navigate with a suitcase. The included buffet dinner and breakfast were adequate and the... More

I've stayed here for business a number of times during the winter months. It's pretty much the only hotel around so they don't try too hard. Everything is ok but not great. Rooms are clean but feel more like a 90s hostel (14" TVs? Come on!). Plenty of common areas and good parking. Wifi is free but might not reach... More

This is a large hotel, with large parking and wide rooms. Very silent. We had a relatively good dinner, self service, but a bit too "mediterranean": several ypes of olives, feta cheese.. we were looking for more Swedish food. The lakeside is very close and we suggest to walk around it: it takes only 40'-50' and is very lovely.

As the only large hotel in Jokkmokk, you get the impression that they don't feel the need to make much of an effort. The rooms are clean and functional. The staff were helpful when you asked for anything, but not forthcoming with any information otherwise. The hotel restaurant was fully booked on the evening when we arrived, so we had... More

Traveling with a group, we had a single night here having come on the inlandsbanen. The location was lovely and peaceful, overlooking the lake. The building had a spacious feel with good size, clean if a little dated, rooms. We were grateful for the effective curtains to make the room dark enough to sleep in full night-time daylight. I suspect... More

We chose Hotel Jokkmokk based on the info on their own website. We wanted to treat ourselves to a final luxery after travelling in Swedish Lapland. There was no "warm reception as soon as we entered the lobby". We had to wait for someone to arrive, no friendly welcome and our room keys were programmed incorrectly. The hotel info stated... More

I was here following the end of an Ultra Marathon around the Arctic Circle and we were all put up here, all 40 of us. We had an awards ceremony which was put on by the hotel. The food was great. It was buffet style and there was plenty of it. The reindeer meat was awesome. And the buffet breakfast... More

It is early winter and so only -19C outside but your room, small & a comfortable basic, is a warm +20C. This is the right way round, the opposite is less pleasant! This is an ideal base to visit the area and much recommended. Breakfast is substantial and dinner uses local flavours like reindeer to remind you that you are... More

Situated beside a beautiful clear lake, thus hotel maintains the high standard if cleanliness that is common in Sweden. My room was a reasonable size, functional, and uncluttered. Tbe bathroom had a shower and one tiny piece of soap, plus a small bottle of shampoo which I could not open. The single bed was comfortable. The superb breakfast buffer was... More

Very well located hotel, with decent rooms and a good restaurant and breakfast. To my feeling during our stay a bit understaffed, this ons excellent waiter had to do the reception, the bar the restaurant and the next morning he was there again to do the breakfast! Great performance! I would visit it again if around.
