The rooms here are fresh and new and most comfortable; good Wi-Fi too. Another good place near Calais for a stopover. On a lovely evening it was good to sit outside for dinner which was plentiful and good quality. For my taste, it was served a bit too fast but that's a minor thing.

After a 400 mile drive through France, this was an ideal stop over before returning to the U.K. Beautiful setting, and clean rooms that have recently been refurbished. Location is ideal, circa 30 mins from the Eurotunnel, and near all the shopping you would want. The food in the restaurant was excellent and very plentiful, with quick and polite service,... More

This was our second stay and we will return. The Auberge is located in peaceful grounds at the edge of Guines. The accommodation was very good - we could not wish for better, as was the French breakfast with plenty to eat. Good menu in the restaurant and the food was very good too. What more do you want!

It is attention to detail that makes all the difference in both hotels and restaurants. This hotel is an old farmhouse beside a large campsite. No one on reception on arrival so you have to ring for service. Same in the morning. Picked up a tourism leaflet in reception while waiting and it was 3 years old! Room spacious but... More

Thank you for writing about our hotel on Tripadvisor. As the hotel only has 7 rooms, we don’t feel the need for the reception to be manned 24hrs, however we are available all hours by simple phone call using the phone at your disposal on the desk. The tourist information is updated weekly, and there a few magazines available for... More

Great rooms, fantastic location, excellent restaurant and friendly service, the type of place I will go back to again and again. Used to stay in the Relais in Ardres, since it has closed this is a welcome replacement.

I decided to avoid British B & Bs and stop after the ferry in France. It was also a wise decision to drive for half an hour out of Calais to the little town of Guines and L'Auberge du Colombier. The hotel is in a renovated farm building, full of character, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It is reasonably priced... More

My wife and I have just returned from spending an evening at this lovely Auberge. We arrived a little early but this did not phase the young man who booked us in ( unfortunately I did not manage to get his name) he gave us the key for room 24 which has recently been redecorated and was a twin room.(... I stayed here on Valentines day on my way to Euro disney with my kids. Lovely old quaint hotel with a very good restaurant . You need to book as it gets very busy with locals. It is only five minutes from the tunnel however is difficult to find in the dark if you don't have sat nav.

We stayed here in the evening before our ferry trip to England and were pleasantly surprised by this nice hotel in a beautiful setting in the countryside. The room was small, but clean, well equipped and fully sufficient for one night. Unfortunately, they serve breakfast only from 08.00h so if you have an early ferry you have to start the... More

Booked this place as just outside Calais where I need to stop as part of a London to Paris bike ride. This is a farmhouse hotel on a big campsite. Finding the campsite was no problem, once in signs are limited to get to the farmhouse but managed in the dark after asking around. Clean, modern yet you get the... More
