B&B is attractive - more of a town house than a home. Well cared for - food very good - host helpful - room pleasant & comfortable. Not set on the waterfront as we'd hoped, but is in a quiet neighborhood.

Proper traditional "Owners Home" B&B right in the seaside fishing village of Pittemween ( don't be mislead by "Near Piitemweem" reviews which are actually nowhere near Pittemweem and its great early August Arts Festival ) Mr and Mrs Phipps offer a very clean room, firmish but very comfortable bed, with great hospitality, and a breakfast freshly cooked to your own... We stayed here on Saturday night. We had a lovely comfortable and clean double room John attended to us at breakfast and we got our choice of items for our fry up. Nothing was any trouble to John. He was a nice friendly guy. Hope to stay again.

We needed a B&B near St Andrews. We had a rental car, but you can get there by bus easily. The host were very accommodating even though they were dealing with a death in the family. The rooms were small but adequate. The ensuite room has an instant hot water heater which was very nice. A hair dryer was provided... More

We enjoyed our stay at St Abbs House. The room (although a little small)and facilities were spotlessly clean - towels and sheets were changed daily, and the breakfast was beaufifully cooked. There was an excellent choice of cereals, fruits, yoghurts, etc.as well as the full Scottish breakfast. John and Marie were very welcoming and we definitely would recommend St Abbs... More

My boyfriend and I booked a room here when our first choice of B&B was fully booked, and we weren't disappointed. Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated, and included nice little touches like tea, coffee, biscuits and DVD player (with a DVD library just outside our room). The location was ideal - on a quiet street, just a short... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights. While Pittenweem itself is a sleepy village it was still a good base to explore the area. Hosts were very pleasant and had obviously put a lot of thought into extra touches such as DVD library, dressing gowns and toiletries. The breakfast was very filling and was lovely to have a choice of... More

My mum's friend said that Scotland's east coast was boring and ugly. I say she's definitely wrong. My parents and I stayed in St Abbs House during a round trip through Scotland. The B&B is located in the quiet fishing village of Pittenweem. Although it's a very small village, the surroundings are lovely and we found everything we needed. The... More

We are regular visitors to 'Pittenweem' and most of the accomodation we have stayed in has been ok but pretty basic. However we were delighted to find 'St Abbs House'. We stayed 2 nights and everything was perfect. As soon as we walked in the door I knew we had made a good choice! Very comfy room, nice en-suite, tasteful... More
