This is a charming small hotel set in an attractive garden in the quiet Berry countryside just outside the small village of Bannegon. We were very well received and the room was agreeable with a small terrace overlooking the garden. We were well received and the room was clean and spacious and fairly priced. We used to stay in this hotel regularly on our journeys through France and this year we went back after an absence of several years. To start with the positive, the room (number 9) was ideal. Not modern - the bathroom shower had an old- fashioned mixer tap in the bath, for example - but nice and light, airy, and comfortable, and very quiet at night.
