EMpoweredpeople have just stayed here for the 2nd year running during their 3 day challenge from the east to west coast with people that have varying conditions.  The staff were brilliant and met us as soon as we cycled in to rear car park, assisting with room allocation, bags & bikes, brilliant after a long days cycle.  The following two... Booked this as a late getaway. We did not book the dinner package but if we went again I would do this as we ate every night in the restaurant as the food was so good. The staff were so friendly and we were given suggestions on places to visit and the park and ride for York

A very nice hotel right in the heart of Easingwold. Flat screen TV with free channels in room with tea and coffee making facilities. All the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Only a few pubs in the area but they are very good pubs. The Angel, which allows dogs in has all your sky sports... More

Pleased you enjoyed your time in Easingwold. As a matter of clarification, some of our bedrooms are traditionally furnished, others are in a more modern style. More

A two star inn offering comfortable bedrooms at reasonable prices located in the lovely village of Easingwold near to York, The Moors, The Dales, Castle Howard and reasonably near to the coast. We stayed for two nights and ate in the hotel on both evenings - choice of dining rooms - one for the residents - one for everyone -... More

We are pleased you enjoyed your time in Easingwold. As a matter of clarification, both the Market Place Restaurant and Courtyard, whilst offering the same menu choice, are available for both residents and non-residents. More

We booked this hotel online while sitting in the bar. Top tip is to book online as their best rate is definitely to be had there. The welcome was friendly, all the staff were lovely and when we were contemplating a walk, the lovely landlady brought us a pack with six walks to choose from. Nothing was too much trouble,... More

A delightful stay in the friendly atmosphere of The George. Comfortable bed in a room overlooking the main square. Usual hotel amenities all in good order with a good restaurant with varying choices. A great place to stay and look around also very useful for the main buses into York.

Myself and my partner stayed for one night as we wanted to be close to Lightwater valley and it was only half an hour away! Perfect place to stay, we were made very welcome by all the staff. Our dinner was excellent , home made cooked to order food! Great menu and specials. I had the Venison and it tasted... More

We have recently stayed four nights at The George and were delighted with everything. Comfortable, spacious room. Friendly and helpful staff and proprietor. Food excellent - we looked forward to choosing something different every evening, despite sometimes being inclined to ask for the same again. Easingwold is delightful and has a good selection of independent shops, cafes, etc. Lots of... More
