My girlfriend and I had a 1 night stay at The George Hotel, in May. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and pleasant. The breakfast was tasty! I considered the place to be good value.

A delightful stay in the friendly atmosphere of The George. Comfortable bed in a room overlooking the main square. Usual hotel amenities all in good order with a good restaurant with varying choices. A great place to stay and look around also very useful for the main buses into York.

Our third visit to this lovely hotel, nothing disappointed us. The room was lovely, bed very comfy and shower works a treat. The food was excellent and the staff were all so very kind, friendly and welcoming. Perfect base for visiting York, Pickering, Whitby and lots of other North Yorkshire sights. Myself and my partner stayed for one night as we wanted to be close to Lightwater valley and it was only half an hour away! Perfect place to stay, we were made very welcome by all the staff. Our dinner was excellent , home made cooked to order food! Great menu and specials. I had the Venison and it tasted... More

We have recently stayed four nights at The George and were delighted with everything. Comfortable, spacious room. Friendly and helpful staff and proprietor. Food excellent - we looked forward to choosing something different every evening, despite sometimes being inclined to ask for the same again. Easingwold is delightful and has a good selection of independent shops, cafes, etc. Lots of... More

We can only agree with the people who have previously reviewed this establishment. It is in a great location, being only 20 minutes drive to the Rawcliffe, Park and Ride and then a 15 minutes bus trip into York. It is also only an one hour drive to Whitby and the National Park. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and... More

Staying in Easingwold we dined out at The George both nights and found the food to be excellent and reasonably priced and the staff especially the landlord extremely welcoming and helpful even to the extent of turning out cupboards trying to find us a phone charger! He also keeps his Black Sheep extremely well...an excellent pint or several!

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at The George. Really delighted with almost everything at this place! Easy to find, lots of free parking, guests' bedrooms well appointed, clean, quiet, comfortable beds, fresh food, wonderful host & friendly employees. If I hadn't been on a business trip requiring intensive use of the internet, this B&B would have been perfect.... More
