The George Hotel Easingwold is a delightful English village country pub. We stayed for 2 nights. The room was big & clean. The staff couldn't be more helpful & the meals were big & tasty mmmmm roast beef with yorkshire pudding, gravy & plenty of vegies followed by toffee pudding with icecream. Can't get much better than that. We were... More

Enjoyed very much one nights bed and breakfast in this lovely village inn/hotel. The rooms are comfortable and full of character as would be expected in a building of this age. Tea and coffee and TVA and hair dryer all provided, bathroom with bath and shower over the bath all clean and well presented. Enjoyed dinner in a room alongside... More

Had a lovely meal here last night. Perfectly cooked sea bass fillets with a portion of vegetables which were fresh and tasted great. Venison on a beetroot risotto was also delicious! Well worth a visit.

My husband has been here several times for courses through his work. He like to stay here as he always raves about the food at the George Easingwold. Well I must say he is totally right. The food is amazing. The rooms are clean and well kept. The village is adorable and we shall be coming up for a long... More

The George Hotel at Easingwold never fails to deliver excellent service, quality food and overall great value for money.......Just come back from our 5th overnight stay and it's pretty much impossible to find fault, given we paid just less than £60 for bed and breakfast for two. Would just like to say to all the staff, "Keep up the good... More

We had a lovely few days staying here with friends. Very friendly owners, who provide a great atmosphere. It was a very dreich weekend but the log fire , good food and real ale warmed the cockles in the evening. Our room was spacious, warm and had all we needed. Well done The George, we would certainly return.

Pleased to hear that the log fire made the difference on a miserable weekend....nothing to do with drinking Yorkshire's finest ales! More

This former coaching inn is conveniently situated in the centre of the small market town of of Easingwold in North Yorkshire. There is plenty of free parking, both in the square and in the small hotel car park which serves the courtyard rooms at the rear of the hotel. Our first visit was in July last year, and we enjoyed... Found the hotel quite comfortable, rooms are on the small side but clean, no fridge but there is free WiFi in the lounge. The hotel is opposite the bus station for buses to York about every half hour. Meals, both breakfast and mains were excellent. Owners are very friendly, helpful and courtrous. Would stay again.

The George is full of character and the charm of yesteryear. Log fires, bay windows, ceiling beams and comfortable furniture. Dinner at the restaurant was very enjoyable. We stayed in one of the rooms added on to the back of the Hotel which did not possess the same charm but was comfortable and clean. We used the nearby Park and Ride into... More
