We stayed at Coron Backpackers for five nights and overall it was a very positive experience. However, we had planned to stay for nine nights, but checked out a little early because it is really difficult to sleep there! This is through no fault of the hostel's at all, it is simply because the walls are made of bamboo and... More

I spent 7 nights here and the lovely staff made me feel like at home. After more than a month in the Philippines I can say this is the place where I had the nicest staff!! However, the house is made of bamboo and this is why is so noisy. That would be the only negative point so... bring ear-plugs!... More

We arrived quite late on after a 9 hour boat ride from El Nido, which was an experience! Anyways, the staff were very helpful and showed us to our rooms. The common area was very nice and homely, the room was pretty small and the walls and floor are very thin.. You can pretty much see through the floor. Needless... More

Super friendly staff and a nice kitchen / common area, coupled with the cheap rooms (500PHP) and free coffee make this is a perfect choice for budget backpackers. As another reviewer said, waking up to the smell of farty mud (the tide goes out from below the bamboo floor), roosters crowing and pigs squealing is quite an experience. TIP: pull... More

Staff was nice and helpful. The woodwork in the place was beautiful. Shared bathrooms were nice. The walls are thin and so I woke up to the sounds of a child playing the xylophone in the house next door. I would have stayed another night but I need to sleep in a little. I stayed in a lot of hostels... More

Stayed at Coron Backpacker Guesthouse for almost a month. It is a clean and comfortable place with very nice people working there. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a large hang out area where you can meet other travelers. The staff is also very helpful in organizing tours and whatever else you would like to do in Coron.... More

my sister and I just spent 5 nights at Coron Backpackers. the staff are very friendly, the girls were always full of smiles and they kept the place spotlessly clean. this is a traditional Philippines style house, so you get the noise and character of the place that matches this. our complaint is there was no wifi or tv as... I stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. The staff are very accommodating. The bed is huge enough for one person. Wifi is readily available. The price is budget-friendly The location is very accessible to the restaurants and just a ride a way from Maquinit hotspring and walking distance from different travel agencies where you can book your island... We visited just after the typhoon in November 2013 when there was no electricity so our stay was a little more rustic than usual. Nevertheless, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and look after us. The kitchen is a great addition and we cooked some awesome meals - the market is a 5 minute... More

I know Ate Sabel already killed me in the head for this is long overdue but I just wanna share my amazing experience staying with them at this guesthouse last summer. Traveling back to the Philippines became super wonderful with the hospitality they've extended to me and my friends. I spent about a week exploring Coron and Culion and Palawan... More
