We visited for the first time and Eliza, Lara, marlon and the rest really make you feel comfortable. It was very nice stay over all. The food was typical buffet and it changed every day. We would come back!

This is my third visit to El Rio Y Mar in 2 1/2 years. As in my previous visit, this was a homecoming to a place of quiet, calm, beautiful sceneries, and very personalized service. Cedar Cabana 4 was clean, spacious and very comfortable. El Rio is not for bargain hunters, or for those creatures of extreme comfort. But it... More

We stayed here October 2013 for 2 nights. This was really not enough time! We stayed in one of the bungalows and it was great. It was right on the water with a great terrace. Our friends stayed in the main building I suppose. It was lovely but I think the bungalows are the best for the views and privacy.... More

The rooms were so comfortable and cosy. They were placed alongside of the shore so you have your own little beach area right in front of your room! The food was excellent and so scrumptious and I enjoyed the small festivity prepared by the staff. The island was so peaceful and the marine life is so rich. The only downside... More

Our stay in this place was made more awesome by the fact that we were the only ones in the island at some point because we visited during the off peak season. The staff were absolutely friendly, but gives you just enough privacy so you can still enjoy the place. My favorite activity would be getting a massage as we... More

I'm not very experienced with resorts in the Philipinnes so not sure if this is typical for the country... But we stayed at El Rio for 5 nights. The snorkelling is excellent- the fish life just off the jetty is amazing- the variety of fish in such easy reach is great. We stayed in a bungalow which was fine- clean... More

Spent 4 nights at El Rio. This place is gorgeous. Food is really good. Staff is excellent, especially Aliza, Mel, Irish, Pat, Jean, JJ, Marlon and Larra. The owners are lucky to have such a pleasant, hard-working staff. The masseuses are amazing. You have to get a massage on the floating platform. They've cut holes in the platform floor so... More

Our stay in El Rio was our last stop after our visit in the other islands thus we had high expectations for Coron and our stay here. Our resort in Dumaguete was the best so far and it was really a great value for money but quite the opposite in El Rio. Frankly, El Rio y Mar Resort needs a... More

We spent 3 relaxing days in the resort. Our expectations were very high after spending 2 weeks on the island in some much lower-priced but excellent resorts. Our overall experience was positive and the resort is clearly aiming to offer outstanding service, however in some areas there`s still need for improvement to justify it`s premium cost. Positives: - The swimming... More

I have mixed feelings/experiences with this resort. It could be because there was an average of 15 people on the resort that made it kind of "meh". The beach and water were picturesque but I don't think you can really swim in the water because of the sheer amount of jellyfish. Although we were told the big ones weren't toxic.... More
