Wow, my husband and I took the kids here for a meal on a Saturday lunch time. The service was excellent, the menu was excellent, the portions were enormous and the taste was fantastic. My only tiny tiny nit pick is that the music that was playing on the MP3 behind us was fine for adults but had swear words.... More

Drumquin was recomended to us by friends and family a long time ago but it has been fully booked every time we've tried to go along ( now we know why ). We booked well in advance for Mother's Day for a party of 9 ranging from 8 to 80 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was... More

6 of us ate at the Drumquin for a 50th birthday bash and I can "honestly" say it was the tastiest and most exciting food I've eaten anywhere. Generous portions, piping hot, delicious combinations all served up with care and flare. The surroundings were cosy and elegant and the staff were as lovely. Even being extremely picky, I can not... Restaurant only - Starters and desserts were good. Main meals had strange combinations of stir fry veg & roast potatoes, with oyster sauce & fish. We were there 3 hours, so each course took an hour. Very over-priced, especially since we brought our own drinks (as is the policy because they don't have a drinks licence). I have been here... More

Went here for a meal recently - one of the best places I've been to in Shetland for food. I don't know how I didn't hear about this place sooner but I'll definitely be back. The food was excellent, there was also a place for small children to play while we were waiting.

Without any doubt the feature of any stay at Drumquin House will be the dinner. The menu is excellent and the delicious food supplied is presented beautifully and very artistically by very welcoming and friendly staff. Even if you don't intend to stay there you must pay a visit to sample the cuisine. I can thoroughly recommend it. Well done... More

We travelled Shetland five days and the Drumquin out of five was the weakest link. Dust had gathered neatly under room furniture, and breakfast was bland with the ping of the microwave omnipresent. There was no menu, although full English (stingy on the bacon) and cereals were available. The bed was small for two with hard pillows and a mattress... More

I was lucky enough to stay at Drumquin Guest House. It is easy to find - if you happen to land at Sumburgh airport it takes about an hour on easy and well sign posted roads (head North and then follow signs for Brae when they kick in) and the guest house is just in the left as you come... More

Being a Shetlander you would think you would know where all the best places to eat would be. This is not the case. When the Drumquin Guest House was mentioned for a meal with family and friends last weekend it was the first I had ever of this place and boy I can tell you I wish I had known... More

In 2012 my wife and I cycled 3000 miles of the North Sea Cycle Route which took us through the Shetlands. Of all the places we stopped at on our 3 month tour this is the one we still talk about, the best of the trip. We were so lucky they had had a cancellation as I get the impression... More
