This is an absolutely beautiful place and such a lovely visit. Follow the instructions given to get there though otherwise you'll end up somewhere else. We loved our stay here and was made very welcome and ao was our dog. Breakfast is beautiful and would definitely return!

Went there November 2014, GPS could not really recognise the location, it was not difficult to locate. Simon and Philipa are certainly excellent hosts to the house. They brought us to the farm, we experienced feeding the sheeps and played with its dog. Kids loved it to the max. would highly recommend this to everyone! There is an Italian restaurant... More

I've stayed at this farm on two occasions while on a fishing trip. The rooms are very comfortable and the facilities excellent. A stunning view greets you in the morning and the breakfast will knock your socks off.

We booked to stay here on our way back from Isle of Mull. The farm is set in a nice location. We did not get there until 9,30pm. After a long drive, we had landed in heaven, we had the family room, which was a nice size, very nice clean décor and bedding was clean. Cant fault it nice hot... More

Phillipa and Simon were the perfect hosts in this spacious accommodation in the beautiful Scottish countryside. A working sheep farm, it had lovely walks and wonderful views. It was quiet yet we didn't feel isolated. The room was large and suited our family of 4 with room to spare. Breakfast was huge and a great start to the onward leg... More

We knew we were in the country when the single lane road led to Boreland. Amidst the cows and sheep this farm was a great place to pause in our trip. Breakfast in the family kitchen was a special treat. Phillipa and Simon shared great food and family time with us.

Simply echo what the other reviews have said. A beautiful, peaceful spot. Would really recommend it. Bedrooms are in an annex opposite the farmhouse. We had a lovely, comfortable family room which was a great size and we were able to take our dog too. Very welcoming and relaxed breakfast in the farmhouse with great food. Would definitely go again.

What a beautiful spot to stay, unfortunately we only had one night at Boreland farm, but was given a very warm welcome by Phillipa and Simon on our arrival which was quite early in the day, the rooms were exceptionally large, very comfortable and well appointed and the shower was the best shower in scotland. The bed was very comfortable... More

With a meeting booked for early Monday morning in Dumfries I had no option but to drive up from Surrey on the Sunday afternoon. I love the Scottish countryside so took the opportunity to book somewhere that was right in the middle of it. I only stayed one night there and in my trip which took in 3 different overnight... Very remote but beautifully located farmhouse b&b run by a lovely family. On booking you are given a set of directions from Dumfries which unless you know the area prove invaluble. The rooms are big and well equipped (the shower is fantastic), not the cleanest rooms if I'm brutally honest but then this is a working farm so no big... More
