We stayed for one night in January, welcomed on arrival and shown to our room, which was en suite, nice room for a one night stay, we just found a lack of places to put things, especially with no bedside cabinets, but this is probably because of space. Small bathroom with shower, but everything was very clean. Breakfast the next... More

Not only was my room very comfortable, with every detail considered, but the hosts were completely fabulous! When I arrived I got a little lost. Susan came into the road, in the rain, to find me and guide me to the B&B. I was offered tea and cake and enjoyed a chat with her and her husband Sandy. The room... More

Everybody else has already said it! The hosts are so welcoming and bend over backwards to help. Tea and cake on arrival. Breakfast was lovely. The room was spacious and had what you need. Totally recommended.

Susan and Sandy were excellent hosts - Susan even threw my socks in the washing machine for a quick rinse/spin. When I arrived after a long day of walking, I was greeted with water, tea, and cake. They are walkers, so they understand the needs of walkers. Highly recommended.

The couple that run this B&B are really really kind and generous with their time. They made me tea and scones on arrival and dried out my walking boots and even did some washing for me! The food is top notch and the rooms are very clean and have everything that you could possibly need. This place is a bargain... More

Perfect welcome after a full days walking. Hosts were great, attentive but not over the top. The bedroom was lovely, clean and decorated lovely. Breakfast was great and our pack lunch was just what we needed when we were 8 miles into our walk the next day. Excellent value for money, would definately recommend this place.

Excellent place to stay with a warm welcome by people who understand long distance walking! Tea and cake in the lovely courtyard on arrival, a comfortable room with everything I could need, friendly advice about places to eat in the evening and a delicious (and filling) breakfast which gave me a good start for the next day's walking. Excellent value... More

We arrived here at 6 pm doing the Pennine Way absolutely soaking wet and it was my birthday!! A lovely welcome in the conservatory at the back and Susan and Sandy dealt with our very wet gear. We were given tea and lemon cake. Room cozy, not very spacious with rucksacs but adequate. Dinner at pub down road 'Bay horse'... More

Excellent stop on the Pennine Way very homely room spotlessly clean and very good value for money. Hostess could not have been more helpful nothing too much trouble. Tasty breakfast and handy for the pub. First Class.

After a very long and hard walk in the mercyless sun I finally arrived in Cowling. The minute I stepped in to this B&B I felt very welcome. The hosts were very accommodating and my room was Lovely. The best part of it was the bed! I slept like a log and the next morning the breakfast did not disappoint... More
