Beautiful location and amazing views. Rooms very comfy and guest lounge too. Good base for the mainland as easy to get around. Modern with under floor heating. Yummy breakfast. Try the food at the Scalloway Hotel.

Mary offers a fantastic welcome at Hayhoull. We stayed three nights, and two nights she cooked us a lovely dinner. Breakfast each day was "full British", just great for weightwatchers! The rooms were spotless, supremely comfortable, and the guest lounge huge and comfortable, with tele, library of books, table stacked with tourist leaflets. Mary can usually supply a glass of... We stayed for 1 night. Outstanding place to stay, clean and comfortable rooms with great view on St Ninian and Foula Isle. Ideal place to stay for visiting the South part of Mainland. Really enjoyed our night there!

A warm friendly welcome, lovely setting, stunning views, spotlessly clean, cozy room with comfortable bed, good shower and very quiet. Mary could only fit us in for one night but I would have loved to stay longer. A good base to explore Shetland. Mary gave us a very good breakfast and was lovely company for a chat. So good to... A very warm welcome and very accommodating. Excellent service and breakfasts. Standard of accommodation very high way beyond expectations. Great location and base. A short walk from St Ninian's Island which is connected by a rare tombola, a sand and shell strip to the mainland created by the wash from two sides converging. A great stay.

I have just returned from a spectacular holiday in HayHoull. I chose Hayhoull because it was near a sandy beach for swimming and was accessible on public transport. The Lerwick to Sumburgh Airport bus passes on the main road which is about a mile away. Then there is a connecting "feeder" bus which dropped me at the door of Hayhoull.... More

Mary is lovely and so helpful (letting me use the phone when I needed it and inviting me to join her in a) a trip to a concert and b) to play bridge ... I declined both but very much appreciated being asked. Nice en-suite bedroom and lovely guest dining room / lounge (with glasses so you take your own... More

Bit of a delay in giving my review of Hayhoull, we visited in January for Up Helly Aa in Lerwick, and were not disappointed. Our first visit to Shetland, and now we want to live there, stunning place!! Hayhoull is pretty easy to find and is around 20 miles south of Lerwick, we drove there from the ferry terminal. The... Mary is incredibly nice, friendly and helpful, and will cook you a beautiful breakfast. The rooms are large and clean with amazing views of St Ninian's isle. We had a lovely stay and can surely recommend everyone visiting Shetland to stay in Hayhoull B&B.

Mary and Les are such lovely people. They made us feel very welcome in their B and B, in fact it felt like home from home. Mary was very kind and helpful and having been brought up on Shetland, she was able to share some customs and stories with us, which we would otherwise never have learnt . Their were... More
