My husband and I recently stayed here for 2 days. The beach and the view are amazing as many of the reviewers have mentioned. It is also a small, rustic hotel and I would recommend only staying in the premium rooms since the standard was very basic. We had dinner, breakfast and lunch here and that is where the problem... great cozy place to stay. computers were down when i arrived, so i had to wait awhile to "check in". room had a build-in toilet with a curtain, made it a little humid. but a/c was fantastic. room was private. great access to a quaint beach (Las Cuevas). great beginner snorkeling. once you past the waves (about 15 feet out... The last review response I did was yesterday and the guest opinion was diametrically opposed to this present guest review. I goes to show that it certainly is different strokes for different folks. The only thing is that facts are indivisible. We thank this guest review for his simple, ,and honest opinion. His personality is one that makes the most... More

This hotel has a rustic appeal. The hotel is just opposite from the beach where at the time I went you could participate in fetes and buy some really nice food The bathroom is not properly located and when showering the water leaks right into the bedroom. There is a good selection of cable channels and the airconditioning can be... More

We thank the guest for the review. Responding to the complaints we can understand the spiral staircase complaint, but this is a walk in entrance from the road as the hotel is situated on a hill overlooking the beach. Alternatively their is another driveway that leads up to the hotel where you can enter directly . In any case she... More

Although we had a bad experience in the beginning at town..we had a wonderfull time at Las Cuevas. From the airport it is a long road to the village..about 17 km..far from the town. Like we were in the forest...but the vieuw is nice. We had a vieuw to the Las Cuevas Beach. At night we heard the sound of... More

Thanks for your honest review of our property. We enjoyed your company and was very happy to ensure that you had a wonderful and memorable stay with us despite your initial horrible experience with your downtown trip. Food nice Breakfast included (fruit and local/American - pork omelet) Guy helpful Location great Cheaper rooms maybe quieter as at the back away from road. Got food and beer at 8pm,good (nothing else around) No safe Rooms 101 and 102 are standard, nice enough, but above the road so can be noisy, plus above the restaurant, so depending if you... More

We thank the guest for his valued opinion of our facility. It is very unfortunate that he had a terrible experience while driving along the scenic North Coast road on his way to do some sightseeing. A totally drunk driver hit his rental car head on and caused him a lot of grief in what can be described as best... More

I stayed here at the end of November 2014. I was very pleasantly surprised with the location's proximity to the beach. The only thing that threw me off was the very steep incline, which I have noticed is part of the unique design of the country. To be fair though, the lodge is built into the side of a mountain...... We arrived at this nightmarish place on a Saturday evening around 7 pm. I am not a blogger in any sense and I never write any reviews but I felt it to be my moral obligation against a SCAM like this. The first room that one girl who does everything showed to us was a basement/animal shelter type which we... More

My boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights at Las Cuevas Beach Lodge. The location is awesome! Everyone talks about Maracas Beach (a short 8 minute drive away), but Las Cuevas Beach is just as beautiful and has less people and smaller waves. The rooms were small, but you have your own bathroom, TV and A/C in the room! You can... More
