I had a brilliant couple of days at "The Trev". I was flying solo on a round trip and this lovely pub became my base for a couple of nights. It had everything I needed, comfy bed, decent shower, excellent food, free wifi, tv etc.. The location was great for getting about. Oh, and good beer! All this served by... More

A good Cornish Inn. Stayed in the en suite Double this time which suited me better. Only two rooms so no noise but did stay midweek. Always look for three things and I have answered one already. Peace and Quiet - yes, good mattress - it was ok and a shower that does what it should. The food was good... More

We travel to the Isles of Scilly twice a year. Our first trip of the year falls at the end of the May half term so it's very busy in Cornwall to find a one night stop over. This year we found The Trevelyan Arms Goldsnithney Cornwall. And I would certainly recommend this Pub/Restaurant the people where very friendly the... More

We live in the village, and while we don't go in the Trevelyan every week we do pop in about once a month for a drink and/or something to eat. The food is very good, cooked nicely, and reasonably priced, the range of real ales is what keeps us going there instead of the Crown on the opposite side of... More

Thanks very much for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased to hear that you have had a good experience with our food, our beer and our bar staff. It seems that the only problem is the grumpy landlord (me). I send my apologies... I feel it is not always appropriate to disturb some customers, particulularly when... More

We visited twice in three days on our recent stay as we were very impressed with the food quality and value. The pub changed hands recently apparently and the staff could not be faulted. The fish platter starter was plentiful, and the rib eye steaks were the best we have had in quite a while and cooked exactly as requested... More

We were staying nearby, and happened to choose this hotel/pub for our evening meal. We were very pleased we did! There was a good choice on the menu, with very reasonable prices. When the food came, it was really tasty, and well presented. Oh, and the amount! Very good portions. We couldn't make it to dessert the mains were that... More

We stayed here for two nights found it to be a very cosy place. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The owners (who we found out had only been there 3 weeks) were welcoming and accommodating. We had dinner there one night and the food was lovely and there was a good choice. There was also a good choice... More

We did our research...Town we needed to be, then real ale, free wifi and pressed 'Search' and as usual another gem of a place turned up. Real Cornish people in a 'locals' pub plus B&B. They could not have been more welcoming or more helpful. With just half an hour to get to the Minack Theater we had had a... More

There is nothing better than a B&B over a pub. Super friendly proprietors and regular patrons who made us feel right at home. Dinner and breakfast were very good. Local pool pros provided good entertainment, even though they let me win a couple games. Rooms were well appointed and good value.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
FROM JULY 2013 - UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT.As a former manor house for Lord Trevelyan, this 17th-century property stands at the centre of the village of Goldsithney. It has also been a coaching house, a bank and post office in its time, but these days is very much the traditional family-run Cornish pub.Situated just 1/2 mile inland from the Cornish coastal path, we are within walking distance of Mount's Bay and the iconic National Trust property, St Michael's Mount. The closest beach at Perranuthnoe is just a 15 minute walk.Lands End is 20 minutes by car and both south and north coasts are easily accessible. We stock a wide range of lagers and local real ales including Speckled Hen and St Austell Tribute as well as a good selection of wines and soft drinks. We offer wholesome freshly cooked food in our lounge seven nights a week, all year round, using fresh and locally sourced produce offering you great value for money.Children and families are always welcome at anytime in either the public bar or the lounge. ... more   less
