My husband and I had 2 wonderful weeks at Helengeli in the Maldives, the first week with friends and the second week on our own in June 2014. The island is only small with just 50 beach Bungalows so it was very relaxing. The people were lovely, food superb and diving/snorkeling brilliant. Sadly the island is closing to be taken... More

I will focus this review on the all-inclusive package as we struggled to find information on this before we went to Helengeli. We stayed one week in Helengeli during March 2014. We had the superior bungalow on the tip of the island and would recommend it to everybody. It is worth the little bit extra you are paying for it.... More

It was my first time in Maldives and we picked a hotel as per reviews, my family has been in maldives before. The resort is nice, because the sturcuture is still natural and the beach is available for all the resort guests, no 'private' spots. The resort is small, which makes it very cozy for the stay. The food is... More

As they say at Helengeli , we were truly touched by the Ocean. Nice secluded island. The journey to Helengeli via Sea plane and 'Dhoni' Boat ride is very good. All the staff made us feel at home and stay was good. My son enjoyed the pool and coral reefs around the island. You don't need shoe/slippers on this island.... More

This is a return trip to the Maldives for me, this time, travelling solo. Only 15 minute seaplane from male, it's a stunning little island. Very quiet and peaceful, with stunning views, clear blue water and white sand. Accommodation is very clean, attended to twice a day. Food is adequate- always something to choose from and deserts to die for.... More

Stayed on Helengeli 5-10 April 2014. Seaplane only 15 mins journey, great for a person who's not keen on flying. No problems and take offs and landings preferable to ordinary aircraft. After looking at reviews booked the Deluxe house, soooo glad as it proved to be more special than the water bungalow we had on Angaga afterwards. Clean and spacious.... More

If you are looking for a quiet and secluded island with beautiful beaches where you can snorkel and scuba dive, this is the place for you. If you're looking for fun and exciting activities, you should look elsewhere. My husband and I visited at the beginning of April for our honeymoon and, while we enjoyed our time, we were a... More

After spending two weeks on a dive safari travelling south to Gan, we booked another week on the island before returning home. This was our third visit to Helengeli and as with the two previous visits it did not disappoint. Helengeli is small, basic and an ideal place to relax and enjoy life at a leisurely pace. Food is good... More

I wanted a small unspoilt Desert Island Paradise. Helengeli lived up to my expectations. Pure white sand beautiful clear sea a place to completely relax. It is extremely quiet especially during the day most of the guests go out on the boats to dive. The rooms are basic but adequate. The food is very good and plenty of choice. We... More

On Helengeli you experience the natural beauty of the Maldives at its best. Lush tropical vegetation, completely untouched beaches of the finest white sand surrounded by a turquoise lagoon and a fantastic house reef - the unique charm of this secluded Maldivian island will captivate you as soon as you step onto it. The resort has been completely renovated and reopened only in October 2004. It has been designed and developed with the preservation of the island's fragile environment and your comfort in mind.
