This island and hotel is ideal for couples who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life, it's small and very private, not to mention extremely peaceful. The staff are very friendly and amazingly helpful, the rooms are very old and not up to our standards but because we liked the island so much we... More

For those who want to spend a few days away from urban confusion and is willing to give up luxuries to live a few days in paradise. Staff very attentive and spectacular water, ideal for beginners of snorkling spot.

We were one of the last people to visit before they changed everything, hope it is still amazing, this island was absolutely lovely we will never forget it. The location, service, weather, everything was perfect, we loved it and loved us. Maybe one day we will be lucky enough to return, have to save up again!!

Went here in Jan 2010 and had a great time. Staff are great, always seem happy and genuinely enjoying themselves. Food great too. Need to go on house boat though to experience good snorkelling. That goes out twice a day and is free of charge.

This is an all inclusive island but the problem with it is that yes it is a desert island but the surrounding reef makes it difficult to swim around. There is no local reef in which to snorkle and you can go diving but there are boat fees for every dive. You therefore have to also plan a schedule. Also... More

11th trip to the Madlives and I would usually comment on the 'hotel' aspect of the island (they all have white sand, palm trees etc) but as they are just about to change the entire infrastructure of the place there seems little point. The current charm of the island is due to its smallness and limited numbers - with only... More

From the moment we arrived at Male Airport the resort staff ensured we had a perfect holiday. The island is amazing. The rooms do need a little work however it’s a shame it will be closing after Easter with a view to remodelling and construction of water bungalows. Go now before it changes!!! As there are only 40 beach bungalows... More
