Having read all the other reviews on this island, isn't it amazing how people's opinions can differ so much. We chose Biyadhoo after weeks of research on the Maldives and despairing at the ever decreasing number of affordable ,unspoiled islands. Biyadhoo is one of them. Turquoise blue waters, powdery white beaches and friendly staff with amazing smiles. So the rooms... More

Just returned from my sixth trip to this beautiful unspoilt island. There have been certain improvements since our last visit - in particular there is a new chef and the food is much improved but the best thing of all is that it is now possible to eat al fresco - admittedly the number of tables and chairs was limited and... We have been to The Maldives seven times and have stayed at this wonderful island twice. We would return again in a heartbeat. It is very small and intimate, with wonderful staff and the best house reef we have ever snorkelled. Most days we would see eagle Ray, octopus and turtles. The accommodation is very simple, but that's how we... More

My partner and I traveled to Biyadhoo in July - August 2014 (feels like a lifetime ago already) for my first trip to the Maldives. We were aware when we booked the holiday (July 2013) that the island was 3 star and that it would be basic but comfortable - Maldives on a budget if you'd like! :) Our BA... More

Many guests at Biyadhoo are repeaters and this was our fifth trip to the island since 2011. There is a new CEO in charge and we noticed a few changes that have been made since our last trip. There are now additional tables and chairs outside the Palm Restaurant and the paved area has been covered over with sand. You... More

We stayed here between 12th and 26th January. We have previously visited 3 other Maldivian islands but this was our favourite so far! We were allocated room 97 which was a lovely big room on the end of the block on the first floor. The room was lovely and quiet and was kept absolutely spotless but our brilliant room boy,... More

We've just returned from 2 weeks in Biyadhoo and I can understand some of the negative comments that have been made previously. The rooms are indeed rather tired and ours was not cleaned particularly well, in that tea drip stains were left on the tray for several days and the teaspoon we used for tea was not washed. I found... More

Had a great holiday Food was good and the chef ensured I had suitable food for my gluten free diet. He varied menus and did special items for me. Only tip I would give if you have a G/F diet is take bread with you. Accommodation was spacious and clean with plenty of fresh towels etc. Only negative is that... More

The island is 40 minutes with a speedboat from Malé. It's not a super luxurious island, the facilities and rooms are easy and a bit old. But the sandy beaches, the blue transparent water and the vegetation are like in paradise! However, these are the things that are rather bad: - beach chairs: The beach chairs are plastic, not very...
