Came here on a week evening when the place was almost empty to have dinner with a Groupon Voucher. The starter of small cod pieces was mainly made up of iceberg lettuce. The main course of salmon and jacket was in my opinion excellent and well presented. The house red wine was excellent. Would I return - maybe on a... More

Rooms clean again and staff could not be more friendly. Sadly feeling tired (and a tad sticky) in the bar. Lacking some good ales and fresh food. Breakfast VERY basic... Not even fresh milk!! Such a shame as amazing location. Second time staying and prob the last.

The menu is limited but adequate. The food was basic but edible. Accompanying salad relied heavily on Iceberg lettuce. The staff serving table do their best. The restaurant lacks atmosphere and could do with an uplift.

Stayed one night with a Wowcher voucher and what a great deal it was!Lovely friendly welcome, and we enjoyed drinks sitting on the terrace till we were shown to our room.Nice room overlooking the water, comfy bed with clean linen, and a very nice modern en-suite.Dinner and breakfast was good, nothing to complain about at all.We would definitely stay again,or go for a drink... We have just returned from lunch at the Jolly Sailor, the welcome was good but food very average and dissapointing, although there is a sign outside saying its a 'dog friendly pub' and having had dogs ourselves in the past didn't realise this would involve a dog being allowed in the main eating area inside and sitting on one of... We had a very warm welcome when entering, shown to our room which was clean, our stay was via a wowcher voucher and thus the price was very good. The food was plentiful and English breakfast was nice. Just a couple of pointers when booking, there is no where to park your car, the toilet is a mulcher so rather... More

With this setting in Hythe Quay this pub should be a winner. It looks old from the outside, and boasts its history, but it has been horribly modernised. Two huge TV screens and relentlessly crappy pop music would have been enough to ruin it even more for us but the clincher was the beer. We tried a local ale and... More

Stayed on a Wowcher deal, great value for money, generous food portions, although due to a Groupon deal going on, they had sold out of a few favourites. The two staff on duty were lovely and very accommodating considering how busy they were. The room clean and spacious..The area very pretty..only downside was the lack of parking spaces...overall a very... More
