Booked this on a recommendation from an ex-colleague (he had used restaurant and club facilities before), despite some mixed reviews previously read on TA. Having had mediocre experiences elsewhere in the area, thought that I had nothing to lose. First off this is quite an impressive drive up to the hotel - looks modern and imposing in size. The club... more

On arrival I thought this was going to be excellent and the hotel reminded me of a Marriott. I paid £90 for b&b but the room left a lot to be desired. In the WORST location possible on the first floor overlooking the refuse area. I asked the receptionist if there were anything better and she shrugged and said only... more

We are 2 couples who booked this hotel for a long weekend over the bank holiday in May, the men are golfers and us ladies shoppers...etc... The reason we choose the hotel was for the location (close to family to drop off kids) and the location did not disappoint, the setting is lovely. The golf courses were fairly good (as... more

My husband took me to this hotel for one night over Easter and as soon as we arrived I could not wait to leave. The room was filthy with a scratchy blanket on the bed, the picture quality was poor on the tv, the safe did not work, the shower smelt musty, the balcony had fag ends all over it... more

Nice hotel but the reception staff don't speak much English and messed up two simple taxi booking to and from a wedding. They couldn't have cared less either when we complained. The rest of the hotel was relaxed and the food good, although the layout seemed a little "Centre Parks" like.. more

I didn't read any of these reviews before I went and I'm glad I didn't because it would have put me off. Although quite dated and in need of an revamp, the hotel was very clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend the Camelot restaurant for dinner. It was a little expensive but... more

We booked the valentines night package, which sounded good. Breakfast in your room and a five course dinner included, couldnt wait to relax and enjoy. We stayed in a village room which was a good size and modern, but could have been cleaned to a higher standard, ie black mould in the shower. We went to use the leisure facilities... more

Our spa treatment was lovley and the pool and sauna was really good. Good food at the brassie and had a good time at the bar, staff freindly and the barmen Zoltan and... more
