We had to make a last minute booking and the Manager couldn't have been any more helpful. It was vital we had a wheelchair accessible room and was so relieved when we found that The Limes did indeed have an suitable room. Every disabled person has different access needs, these suited ours. I was with my husband, also a wheelchair... More

Thank you for taking the time to review The Limes Guest House. As a small independent business we strive hard to maintain our standards and it is always nice when we have positive feedback. I am pleased that you found the accessible room worked well for the wheelchair user and that you found the quality of our guest amenities to... More

Swift polite welcome, choice of two rooms twin in quieter building away from the road or double in main building. Welcome drink in the room and excellent shower after a long day. Told of a few restaurants that offer a discount if we mention the Limes, Choose in timo, excellent Italian, see that review. Back to Limes after meal. Good... More

Maldon is an ancient town but not best served by decent places to stay. I had to find accommodation for visiting family for a few days and went to checkout The Limes on their behalf. The original building is nearly 300 years old and together with the new additions it has superbly appointed rooms. We needed a disabled access room... More

My husband booked a one night stay at The Limes. I walked into a lovely romanticly looking room. 4 post bed with rose petals, Rose Cava and chocolates. Very nice crisp white linen. Staff attentive, delicious cooked breakfast the next day. I am told the price was reasonable. We will return 😊

A really nice place to stay. Everywhere was clean, straff were accommodating and welcoming. Breakfast superb quality and choice. the room (standard double) came with unexpected extras - hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee, and all the toiletries you could need for a weekend stay. We'd definitely stay again - it was a return to our newlywed time... More

Stayed here at very short notice for a couple of days very late December. The limes was easy to find, and had good parking facilities. Because we were very late arriving, Paul waited for us to come, putting himself out to do so, which was very kind of him. The bedrooms are very comfortable, and despite atrocious weather outside, freezing... More

Stayed for two nights ovr Christmas, whilst visiting family nearby. Stayed in annexe, which was clean modern and warm - with good ensuite shower room. Good welcome and clear instructions etc. This room was quiet too, back from the main road and within very short walking distance of the main street in Maldon. Breakfast in the dining area of main... Stayed here for one night while attending a wedding in the area. My room was in the annexe building, and was very clean, nicely decorated, spacious, warm ( I arrived late at night in December) and had everything you'd expect from a hotel but don't always get in B&B eg small toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities etc. Other guests... We stayed for one night recently and the themed room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable and there was even a decanter if sherry in the room. The reception hadn't been very warm but we liked the room. The night before we had to pick the time we wanted breakfast and what we wanted. Having picked a time we... More

Wonderful room (4 Poster). Friendly staff. Exit from car park a bit of a challenge, but assisted by TV monitor. We visited, thanks to a great friend who booked us in, to sadly attend his wife's funeral. We were not in "visitor" mode. That said, we would definitely reccommend as a base for the surrounding area.
