Recently returned from LaConfluencia. It's a beautiful eco-friendly resort about 20km from El Bolson. The lodge, which is perched above a flowing river, is beautiful and the dorm-style rooms are comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out and find solitude throughout the lodge. The shared bathrooms are well-designed, so don't let the non-ensuite thing put you off. The max capacity... More

This place is a hidden treasure with all the luxury comforts one could ask for-breath taking views overlooking a beautiful flowing river enables guests to hear the sounds of white water rushing by your window. Wood burning hot tubs (2) also overlook the river and are very romantic! The lodge is impressively built and the lounge areas both inside and... More

This is a wonderful hotel. We stayed after completing a 3 day trek, staying in refugios, so we were particularly attracted by the comforts of La Confluencia. The situation is beautiful - you feel like you are in a tree house and can always hear the river. The view from the hot tubs is great and the view from the... More

What an amazing experience! I traveled to La Confluencia as a volunteer and spent several weeks there. I was traveling alone, for the first time, and when I arrived I felt so at home and welcomed by Mark along with the other folks at the Lodge. Not only does the Lodge serve as a place for maximum relaxation (A private... More

We stayed at La Confluencia for 3 days and we loved it. The hotel is run by an American family who have created a beautiful home in paradise. We were collected by Mark's son, Kelly who drove us in a 4x4 from El Bolson, taking a nearly impossible road through picturesque countryside and crossing a turquoise river to access the... More

Thanks so much for the kind comments. We really appreciate you taking the time to post. And thanks, too, for the feedback on the reservations process. We're now using PayPal, so it should go a bit more smoothly! More

Stayed here back in January and remembered I haven't yet written a review. First the good. La Confluencia is a very beautiful place set at the base of some great hiking trails outside of El Bolson, Argentina. The lodge itself is top notch, a beautiful building with an amazing garden. It's a bit hard to get to but worth it,... More

First off, I need to mention that 2014 is the first year we've attempted to offer a Hostel (Bunkhouse) option...so yes, there's been some trial and error involved, and we're truly sorry for the confusion that some visitors experienced at the beginning of the year. The reviewer is correct in assuming that we were trying to keep the Bunkhouse prices... More

This is a nice place. It's totally out of the way from everything so don't expect to just take a trip to town for some milk because you can't! The hill to the place is huge and walking back to the bus stop in Warton is enough to put me off ever going back or recommending the lodge further. The... More

The reviewer is correct in stating that La Confluencia is away from everything. In fact, that's the idea...those travelers looking for an alternative to noisy towns and cities appreciate our somewhat remote location, spring water on tap, farm-fresh organic produce, and direct access to hiking trails and don't seem to mind the challenge of getting here. And with a little... More

We read about La Confluencia a couple of years ago and put it on the must do list. We were picked up as planned at the bus stop in El Bolson by Mark - the co-visionary and creator - and for me, who has had a lifelong dream of having the skills and temerity to create such an organised, working... We also stayed at La Confluencia as part of a Sacred Rides Mountain Biking trip. Excellent accommodations and the food was amazing. The location of the lodge is beautiful and there is lots to do (hiking, hot tubbing, going down to the river, biking, horseback riding). We got the suite which was really nice in that it is a bit... I stayed at La Confluencia as part of a Sacred Rides Mountain Biking trip. We were the luckiest mountain bikers EVER! The food was FANTASTIC - thank you Gina and staff! The accommodations were beautiful, comfortable and impeccably clean. The setting was absolute paradise, walking down to the river, up to the hot tub or sauna or out into the... More
