Our stay in Palomino at El Matuy was one of the highlights of our trip to Colombia. If you are looking for some true relaxation time, we would highly recommend staying here. The beach is serene and gorgeous, food is excellent and the cabanas are simple and perfect for the setting. We only stayed for one night but we wish... More

If you are looking for a place to escape from the bustling Colombia, this is your place. The food is good and simple local food. There is no electricity but candlelight is actually all you need. There is a lake about 15 min down the beach to the left. It is worth the walk as the sea and the lake... More

I love the location , I travel twice a year with my family and enjoy walking to the Palomino and San Salvador River. Body surfing wondefull but take care between December and February, waves could be too choppy and too large.

This is the second time I went there, and it keeps surprising me. A real paradise to relax, rest, and eat well. The room was impecable, the food is amazing and the best was the staff. It is one of the best eco resorts I have been and intend to come back soon.

The best place to rest easy. Within a peaceful atmosphere, served by friendly people, with a delicious, balanced and original variety of organic foods of the region. Hosted in a beautiful and fresh cottage with the best view and sound of the sea.

This was an amazing eco resort that has spectacular locally grown food and fresh fish right out of the ocean. I spent 5 nights here and it wasn't quite enough. Just read, swan, ate and hung out with other guests - ultra relaxing. You are forced to disconnect by having cabana's without power (although, at the main building, they do... More

Loved our three nights at El Matuy. It was easy to get to, the staff is very friendly and accommodating and the nature in the area is just fantastic. We loved the fact that the owners have chosen not to have electricity in the bungalows, it really helps to connect with the beautiful nature and it's easier to get used... More

At first my party was doubtful about having no electricity at all during our stay at El Matuy, but as the days and specially the nights went by, surrounded just by candles, nature, sea relaxing sounds and very nice people, we began to feel we were discovering paradise! A place for adults to really disconnect and children to really connect... More

The perfect place to bring you loved one and chill between to intense (or not) treacking sessions. Just make a reservation, go there and let them do their things: playa, sun, waves and fine food. True story

Having booked El matuy and even after reading their website, we still were unsure what to expect. However on arrival all fears were alleviated. Utter calm, on the tail end of palomino beach. A welcoming sight of Palm trees, hammocks, the sea roaring and a welcome lunch of king prawns, rice, salad & plantains set us up for our four... More
