It is the most beautiful spot. Our room looked out over Florence. The city was easy to reach by bus €1.20 one way..20 min! Staff was friendly and helpful :) it's the piece and quiet you want after a hectic day in the city centre. If I go back to Florence I would stay here again!

I feel bad for leaving this review because the staff was so nice. For that reason I leave 2 stars instead of one. But the beds are so hard I couldn't sleep, the showers are less than 2x2, and the wifi they say they have only shows up with a poor signal. If I could have gotten in contact with... More

Nice hotel, Great People. Very Helpful Staff and Extremely attractive location. The hotel is exactly above the entire city of florence. The location is very peaceful. There were some complaints about food but they compensated very well next day. The hotel is also very well connected with city bus service. You can easily find a direct bus to city centre... More

We highly recommend Villa Morghen as a peaceful retreat after spending days exploring Florence and Tuscany. We had a great view of Florence from our room which despite the high temperatures remained cool (some nights we put the fan on, which worked fine). A simple breakfast was served in the refectory. The staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds are... More

A lot of Olive trees, easy to reach from Florence (by local bus or taxi), good rooms & bathrooms and very helpful staff, this place is the perfect ESCAPE for those who are looking for peace. And Settignano, 5 min walking, has delicious restaurants!

Villa Morghen has its location as a big plus. One has a beautiful view of the city, the staff is very helpful. Without a car it is a bit difficult to reach though. The place is mainly used by student groups, so it can become a bit noisy. Breakfast could be improved. The rooms are simply furnished, but the place... More

I stayed at the Villa Morghen for just under two weeks and loved it. It sits just outside of Florence in olive garden country. The view of florence and the countryside is beautiful. It's location is quiet and peaceful. The walk to the bus is short and transportation to florence is easy. Trails, fig, peach and walnut trees, and a... More

I love this place. I came with a group of students, and we, like anyone else, enjoy the city. Being up here, far above the noise, the dirt, and the bustle of the busy streets below is fantastic. We eat, sleep, meet, and enjoy each other in peace, but at any time, we can walk briefly up the hill and... More

The staff at villa morghen are superbly helpful and quite amicable. The grounds are quaint and the view of Florence is splendid. My group was provided with three meals a day: breakfast, a bag lunch, and dinner. One night, we were even invited to take a cooking class and prepare our own dinner, Italian style. The rooms are comfortable, and... More

Villa Morghen is located 15/20 minutes by bus outside of Florence (bus is frequent and on time!) but check for location of bus stop in Florence as it seems to change from railway station to Pzza San Marco. keep an eye out for the sign to get off at the nearest bus stop or you will have to walk back...
