I booked Hotel Kailas for 2 nights because I wanted to visit Ellora and Ajanta Caves. I was pleasant surprised. My flight was more then 2 hours late and the driver, booked by the hotel, was waiting for me and very friendly.
The room, a Cave Facing Cottage, was very clean and big, with a private terrace and a great view. Also the private bathroom was perfect. The room and restaurant could use a little more atmosphere, but overall it was very nice. There is a very big garden and the hotel is very quiet and peaceful.
Breakfast, not included in the room rate, was limited but okay. The staff was very friendly and helpfull.
The village, Ellora, is a bit boring and there is not much more then the caves. In the evening there was no electricity in the area, but the hotel has a very good generator.
I stayed one night more then original planned. more
