Our visit to Wolfkop Nature Reserve was truly amazing. On arrival, the place was ready, keys in the door. The chalet “Harpuis” was clean, comfortable and spacious. Four star quality accommodation. Well managed by email and phone communication - minimal fuss. Breath-taking views, very peaceful and just simply incredible. Peace and tranquility was what we wanted and that is what... More

You may see that their ratings are quite acceptable but that is only if you do not stay in Hapuishuis because that is an absolute hive. It is filthy and unfinished from aircon wires hanging out at back of the house, sheets and bedding filthy, micowave still covered in fat from previous visitors etc etc My stay was in 2014 and Werner... The service and amenities were excellent, and a perfect launchpad to explore the region. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend break to explore this magnificent and underrated part of the country

I've stayed at Wolfkop several times over the past year and have enjoyed each and every stay. It's a gorgeous, idyllic place that always entices us back. The river is picturesque and the distance from Cape Town is so easy that it's always great for a weekend up.

The house we stayed in (Harpuishuis) was dirty, the windows have not been cleaned in months the aircon not working,no cupboards ,mirrors or bedlamps in the rooms, only one person at a time could shower (we were 4 adults). Some of the doors did not have keys or could not be locked making the stay unsafe. The was only one curtain for... More

Hi Glaudine, Thanks for taking the time to write to us. I have told my team to go through all the cottages for linen with holes in as we bought 4 new sets 1 month ago but must have missed one. Regarding your keys: There are 4 keys that work on all the doors. We are in process to cut... More

This is the perfect destination for a relaxing getaway. We stayed in Tolbos and the unit was lovely! No bats stretching and scratching in the ceilings as mentioned in previous reviews. Just some suggestions which would have made our stay more pleasant. Definitely need aircon in the bedrooms as it was very hot during our stay.

Amazing view of the mountains and landscape! I’d recommend the Wolfkop Nature Reserve to anyone. My favorite parts were the balcony, the hammock and the Jacuzzi! Like a few others have mentioned, make sure to order enough wood so that you can cook outside and keep enjoying the views. The place is truly exceptional!

We were 4 people who stayed in one of the 2 bedroom houses and had a fantastic time. The facilities are basic but really cool and everything you need to enjoy a weekend away. There is an indoor braai, timber "chopping block" island, jacuzzi on the stoep, relaxed sitting area outside in the fynbos, comfortable beds, cool bathrooms with showers... More

stayed in the large 5 bedroom cabin, with 2 'newley finished' bedrooms overlooking the childs jungle gym. Unfortunately when we arrived we noticed a number of glaring ommissions in the 2 supposedly complete rooms - holes in the walls, exposed wiring, no light bulbs in the fittings, no hand towels, no soap, no ceiling fans or air con, and toilets/showers... Hi Neil, Thanks so much for taking the time to write to us we take this message very serious. The Rats in the house is not Rats but Bats and they play an important role into keeping the ecosystem into place so we not allowed to kill them but the Cottage roof has been booked to be sealed of and... A peaceful getaway with beautiful views. Most important item in the chalet is the air conditioner as it gets extremely warm. Although clean and well equipped we did feel that the chalet we were in did not completely match the expectations created through their website. We were in Boegoe chalet and found a number of smaller things lacking like the... More

Hi Bellex, Thanks so much for taking the time to write to us. The Bats in the roof were created last year during spring and most of them are out now due to their season being gone so we can lift the roof and seal it of as we are not allowed to kill them due to their important roll... More
