There is never anyone in the reception area. We arrived late (around midnight) so I can understand that everything is locked up. Temp's are very warm, in the 30's. At breakfast I requested a fan for our room and my 87 year old mother-in-law's room. The attendant made a note of our room numbers. We returned to Roosendaelhof at 7... More

This is a beautiful hotel in a lovely location. My room had a balcony with the setting sun and river with ducks and wildlife. There is complimentary water and tea/coffee in your room and a lovely bathroom with a couple bath. The breakfast was beautifully presented and lovely local foods. I would love to stay again for either business or... More

Very nice old building just meters of the main square. They don't have a restaurant, so you'll have to go out for an evening meal, which can be esspecially during the week days, somewhat of an endevour. Two buildings, I stayed in the old carriage barn which tjey converted into lodging. Rooms are a bit on the small side, but... More

I have stayed here twice now when visiting Geel on business and if available I won't consider going anywhere else. A late Sunday night arrival for a meeting on Monday and owner/manager Kathleen made a special trip to help me check and get a well deserved beer after travelling all day from the UK. Rooms are a good size and... More

This hotel is located in a presbytery from the 17th century, with additional rooms in the old coach house. The surrounding moat almost gives you the feeling you're looking at a little castle, and the adjacent park gives the surroundings of this city hotel an unexpected green and beautiful aspect. And all that at a three minutes' walk from the... More

We stayed here for business trip and had the double room not in the main building. The main building keeps its romantic old style, the other building is more modern. The room was clean, only the light there was very weak. Bathroom was very nice, in a modern style. Breakfast was very tasty, with sufficient choice of food. Other services... More

The hotel is a conversion of old religious buildings. The rooms in the main house are all different. Our room was a decent size and quite comfortable. It's strange that the light in the bedroom and the bathroom are separate arms of one light (makes it difficult when one person has to leave early). The staff are very friendly and... More

Stayed here whilst visiting Geel on business. Had a lovely room in the annexe, hotel was clean and comfortable. Location great for walking into Geel for a drink and dinner. Each room has character and is comfortably appointed - belgian chocolates arrived with turndown service. My room had a huge rose picture on the head board wall

I stayed here while on business in a nearby town. The hotel itself is a converted vicarage and coach house from the 17th century--really charming. There's a nice view of a park from the breakfast room. My room was in the coach house, which was completed gutted for the remodel, so the rooms are modern and very nicely done. No... More

A cool reception. Our nice enough bedroom (16) was in the main building at the top of a VERY steep flight of stairs. Which I would avoid if I was travelling with toddlers or someone not able bodied. The bedroom had a HUGE bathroom and a window overlooking the gardens. The bedroom did have a lovely balcony overlooking the gardens.... More
