We initially arrived at Green Hill as a resting place before our trek, but loved it so much we stayed a week. The staff here are so helpful, very warm and friendly and always greeted us by name. We joined in on their relaxing, fun singsongs in the evenings as they played guitar and enjoyed playing cards with them too.... More

We've been in Bukit Lawang for three nights, two nights in Greenhill Bungalow and one night in the Jungle. We've booked online around one month in advance and communication with the owner Andrea was great. We did a small payment via PayPal in advance which was okay as well (=they remembered the pre-payment). About Greenhill: Staff is very friendly and... More

We booked Greenhill for five nights and, all in all, had a very positive experience. Our airport pick-up was waiting for us as we emerged from the arrivals area at Medan Airport for the four hour drive to Bukit Lawang. The staff was waiting at the drop-off point in the village to help us with our luggage for the 15... More

We had an amazing overnight trek organized through Green Hill. Our guides, Ando (from Bukit Lawang and along to translate) and Mimpin (from a little village 30 minutes outside Bukit Lawang and a wealth of knowledge about the jungle), were amazing...true jungle men! The food on the trek was fabulous, thanks to cook Ogan. Rafting was great, too, but burrrr!!!... More

Dear guest, thank you for taking the time to write a review. It is great to know you enjoyed your trek as we spent a fair amount of time discussing the various options with you and accommodating your various time constraints. However, we feel that you have misrepresented the situation with regards to saturday night music. And have perhaps let... More

All staff very nice and the place is confortable enough for a place at the jungle (do not expect glamour when you chose a destination of this kind) The guids they provid to take you to the jungle are really great and funny people and also they can teach you a lot about the jungle.

We stayed at Green Hill for a full week including two days trecking in the jungle. The location was fantastic, we were in the budget rooms which provide everything needed for a back packing holiday. The staff are superly lovely, both those in the accomodation and the trecking guides. We had the best of times in Buckit Lawang and one... More

The guesthouse is located near the end of the Bukit Lawang 'street', so fairly quiet (at least in January, I've heard the town can get overcrowded in high season) and close to the national park! Very nice bungalows; somewhat back to basic with Asian toilets and cold showers, but well maintained and clean. Friendly staff and good food.

We stayed here for a week during our stay in bukit lawang (including the 2 nights we spent on a trek). We stayed in both a tree house and a bungalow during the stay. Staff are really friendly, chatty and helpful providing loads of information on treks and the local area/wildlife. We booked via email and got great information on... More

It's difficult to rate Green Hill, as we had an absolutely excellent time in Bukit Lawang, but more thanks to our trek than the actual stay at green hill. Communication was great ahead of our arrival and we had a 3 day trek booked ahead of time. We didn't however receive a kit list (I note someone below who had... More
