Clean rooms and helpful staff, great view of the jungle across the water and close to set-off point for jungle treks and Orang-utan watching. Bukit Lawang village is very isolated so don't expect 5-star amenities - it is basic but fun and friendly. If you do get a chance try the white-water rafting while you are there

Stayed at the Jungle Inn as part of a Trek Sumatra tour. The location at the upper end of Bukit Lawang was good and we have views over the river. The breakfast was included and nice. We ate at the restaurant one evening and it was the best meal of the 3 we had during our stay. Note that the... More

Jungle inn has a big variety of rooms. From the honeymoon sweet to simple, but clean rooms. The athmosphere is great, the staff is very kind and helpfull and the trekking through the jungle in Bukit Lawang was amazing. We recommend the guides named Azar (knew a lot about the jungle and thought us as much as possible) and Yusnal... More

I had an excellent time at the jungle inn. I was only there for 2 nights but I got a great trek in with a guide set up by Hass (the guy running the place). We saw orangutans, about 10 different ones including babies, a jungle turtle (who knew they exist!), gibbons, hornbill birds, all sorts of plants which I've... More

We just loved this place, we loved bukit lawang! We had a wonderful big room with a river view, a hammock on the balcony and an open bathroom. After coming back from our jungle trek, we moved into another room which even had a bathroom outside. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and the food was great. We... More

We spent 2 nights here, before and after the jungle trek, and really enjoyed our stay. Rooms are large, simple and quite comfortable (we just missed the hot water even if it did not really matter). We spent most of the time chilling at the restaurant. The food is good and the atmosphere very friendly. Thumbs up to the staff... More

Super friendly staff, great food, perfect location on the banks of the river. Huge clean rooms, cold water showers but in the heat it's all you need. The restaurant is the perfect place to hangout & watch rafts floating by, people swimming & listen to the sounds of the wildlife. Don't leave anything outside in your balcony, especially if you're... I didn't stay here but its restaurant is not listed so... The rooms (peak season, though I heard there's no change in prices anywhere in Lawang whole year round) range from 200,000 IDR to 600,000 IDR. Looks the most posh in the whole of Lawang. Owner says he has been operating it since 1987. The service is top notch (best... More

The owner is very accommodating as is the wait staff. Located right at the very end of the street there is no flow through traffic this is the end of the road. There are guitars everywhere in Bhukit Lawang and everyone plays. Every night there is music and beers. No wine sold anywhere in the area and in Ramadan you... More

We stayed in the massive honeymoon room, right at the top. Balcony all the way round with hammock and seating area and a waterfall at the back! There is a track to walk up (dodging the mopeds) lined with lots of hotels, then the river, then the jungle. Jungle Inn is the last one. Lovely staff, really friendly, always willing... More
