The grounds and the outside of the building look like they came out of a magazine of home design. They look amazing. Entering the room you are struck by the bed on a raised platform with a mosquito net cleverly displayed looking like a canopy for the bed. The furniture both inside and out is nicely crafted of bamboo. It... More

We really enjoyed our stay in the Eco Lodge. It was amazing to see the monkeys in the trees every morning. The restaurant served good food and the staff was very nice! But we think that the prices were to high! We were there in low season and the rooms did`nt have hot water or wifi. In other places you... More

We stayed at two different rooms in eco lodge Bukit Lawang. They were both basic but fine and so was the food. This seems to be the place where all the foreigners go eventhough there are plenty of other options availible (where apparently mostly Indonesions come). I do suspect you can find other accomodations in Bukit Lawang that offer the... More

Simple accommodation. No air condition in the room but there was a fan and mosquito nets around the bed which were excellent. Only stayed there 1 night and took a group of Year 10 students. Easy access to Gunung Leuser National Park for jungle trekking and white water rafting as well. Only cold water but you really don't need hot... More

Stayed in one of the Orangutan rooms. Getting up in the dark with a mosquito net to negotiate to go to the toilet which is outside tells me to recommend you bring a torch. Room was kept clean and was perfectly adequate. Staff here are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a bit basic but enough. Dinner can also be... More

This is an ecolodge just along the river. this means beautifull nature, simple rooms, only cold water, gekkos against the wall. but is was very clean, rooms very complete with mosquito net ;beautifull garden, nice breakfast and especially very friendly and helpfull staff. this is a perfect basecamp for trekkings in the Leuser National park.

For Indonesian standards, the staff at this lodge were downright rude. We arrived in the afternoon and our rooms weren't ready and we were then given rooms that were not the ones we booked (we had booked two Orang Utan rooms). Food at the restaurant was good the first night (and the restaurant has a nice view), but the second... More

Being an elderly couple, we were not sure if this was the right place for us. However , our stay was without any big problems. Yes, room was very simple and without hot water but had mosquito net. No airo but present ventilator was sufficient. Surroundings i.e. extensive garden are superb and so the staff. The restaurant and the food... More

We stayed here 2 nights, and our stay was memorable. We did a 5-hour jungle trekking and saw a lot of orang utans, as well as many other apes and animals. The guide we had was one of the best we ever experienced (ask for Udin!). Very friendly, good English, knows every bit about the jungle and species. We had... More
