Great infrastructure, super Lobby, very nice oversized rooms, however there are not no-smoking rooms (at least were not offered) and international cuisine is very limited (as far as I know limited to room service only). Check in and out was quick and without delays (I missed the express check out as we have in US). Morning breakfast was very good... More

I have been in this hotel several times and for a city like Shangyu, it has the necessary level of comfort and amenities. Rooms are spacious and cosy, bed mattress is maybe a little too soft compared to the chinese standards .... The bathroom offer all the necessary space ... The hotel itself is just huge ... If your room... More

Staying at the Shangyu International hotel was the strangest hotel experience I have ever had. This place is huge. Vegas huge....yet it's like a ghost town and it's pretty creepy. The rooms are over the top opulent from a distance, but then when you look close up the workmanship is very cheap feeling. The tiles were lined up, the grout... More

When I hear that I will visit an international 5 star hotel - I think of Sheraton or Hilton. Where this means that everything is taken care of perfectly. However in China 50% of the hotels are called 5 star. The hotel consists of twin towers Block A and B each 20 floors First good thing is the lifts work... More

The hotel is a very easy place to be at while on a visit here. Close to city centre. The staff are so helpful even with a bit of a language barrier. They seem to always find someone who can help out. The restaurant food is fine especially the breakfasts. Rooms are clean and tidy and service is fine. Rob... More

I rated this property a 3 star because it didnt come across as an 'international' property. The rooms are good though - spacious and comfy. The minibar had 1 bottle of water, 1 bottle of wine and 1 can of Coke, but the menu card mentioned 20 odd items to be there in the minibar. Surprisingly, there is no Wi-Fi... More

What i liked the most from this Hotel, is the room, very large & also the biggest advantage is all wooden floors, NO DIRTY CARPETS, i think is the biggest turn off in China they don't really vacum like we do! this is in the newly renovated part of the Hotel. What i didn't like is the walking distance from... More

I would have to say from the start that this was my very first hotel in China. I didn't know what to expect, but I didn'ti expect to be staying in a five star hotel that was a good 200 km away from Shanghai. I couldn't imagine there being enough going on here to support such a hotel. This hotel,... More
