Fantastic place to stay in the bush. You really feel like you are "away from it all" as the estate is about 15 minutes from town. I disagree with some reviewers that it was hard to find as there were many signs along the way. The estate has a lot of wildlife-we saw tons of impala and rabbits. The staff... More

We used Silonque as a one night stopover on route to Mopani Camp in Kruger National Park, to break our journey from Swaziland. We were met by Christiaan who showed us around and explained everything perfectly. Silonque is an estate of privately owned houses of various sizes that are rented out when their owners are not their. We booked through... More

This is what dream holidays are made of, what a phenomenal place. The houses are luxurious, clean, the best linen I've slept on in a long time I cannot write enough praises for this place! If I could live here I would- don't think I'll like the summer bugs though. To everyone who makes Silonque what it is, I take... More

This place is 2.5 stars or 3 stars at best, and for 2.5 stars it's great. However it is not 4 star as advertised. For example: burnt out ashen candles on table, broken faucet, leaky geyser, dirty cheap furniture, no cushions for outdoor furniture, no basic kitchen needs like paper towels or cooking oil.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We apologise that our establishment did not meet your expectations. We have certainly taken all your remarks to our attention. We are a self-catering establishment and provide a fully equipped kitchen, but not the personal extra needs. As for the leaking geyser, we apologise that this fault occurred during your... More

Laura and Pascal and all staff very friendly and enthusiastic. The single bedroom chalets are attractive, private, comfortable and one of ours came with a beautiful, typically African bath. Kitchen facilities excellent. The pools are secluded and relaxing. There is a stretch of unpaved road to get to Silonque but it was easily doable in our 2WD sedan and we... More

We stayed there for (only) two night, but they where great! It's situated near to Phalaborwa (about 15 drive into the bush); the staff welcomed us very friendly and brought us to "our" house! The house was great, we had a huge terrace and a lot of privacy as the other houses are close but a bit away. We were... More

After a week in Kruger we booked one night at Silonke. Little did we know that our wildlife experience was far from over! Silonke is at the border of Kruger surrounded by bush and wildlife. The managers, Pascal and Laura, are super friendly and took the time to drive us around the grounds to enjoy the wildlife. Accomodation is spacy... More

We spent one night prior to driving into Kruger at Silonque Bush Estate. We had an absolutely lovely stay – in particular, Laura and Pascale were extremely welcoming. We were offered coffee (Nespresso, not instant) on arrival and they took us on a short drive for sundowners. We stayed in a one bedroom cottage that was beautifully appointed. There was... More
