This place is absolutely wonderful. It's far enough out of town that you feel you are really in the bush. The accommodations are quite comfortable. (I was not expecting such a nice place for the little that it cost...) If you want to cook, there's enough kitchen stuff to make that easy. If not, the restaurants in town are really... More

We're glad you enjoyed your stay at Masorini Bush Lodge after we managed to sort out your initial hiccup with your credit card. Our game are special to us and our enjoyment and appreciation of them is doubled when we can share the experience with our guests. Bushbabies and porcupine being nocturnal are not frequent sightings in the KNP and... More

Very hospitable family really made our (too short) stay terrific. The rooms were charming---we had beds for our family of 4, plus a bathroom. Kitchen was outside on covered patio, which included small fridge, microwave, sink, bar-height table, and larger eating table. Very cool set-up. Kids and adults were enamored with this place. From our group of 16 family members,... More

After reading all the reviews I was completely convinced that this is the place to overnight on our trip to the Kruger - The "friendly" Margaret left us standing with a "fill in the book - I'll be back." On her return she scrutinised the guest registration book to see if all were filled in correctly without saying a word... More

Dear Mr & Mrs Louw, I want to offer my sincere apologies if you found me to be unwelcoming on arrival. While it's no excuse and should have been explained, some new guests had arrived moments before you, so I was in the process of showing them to their chalets, and this is why I asked you to fill in... If you want that 'Kruger' feel then this is the place with a personal touch. Sean & Margaret are fabulous hosts. The best of all is that it's so reasonably priced. This little lodge has so much to offer we just loved the wild life right on our doorstep.

Margaret and her husband are very nice hosts, our chalet was nicely equipped with all the kitchen appliances one needs to self cater - but a meal provided by Margaret is well worth it! Their property is perfect for a leisurely stroll to enjoy the bush, and their dogs make for friendly companions. Margaret feed and watered the local animals... More

Stayed over on 25 and 26 April 2015. Margaret was a charming and attentive host, we enjoyed her conversation and advice on where to go in the Kruger Nat Park. The A frame room was clean, spacious and ideally located in the bush, and being able to braai on both nights was a plus. Enjoyed meeting the animals (nightape, duiker,... More

Just outside Phalaborwa and close to Kruger Park gate - really fantastic location. Lodge is on gravel road, but so easy to get to. You don't have to go bundu bashing to get there, but once you are there you really feel like you are in the middle of the bush. Easy access to Kruger park, although it was just... More

We only needed one night accommodation prior to entering the Kruger Park. After a peasant 5 hour drive from Johannesburg International Airport we arrived in the dark at 8pm. Using our GPS (a tomtom) we had absolutely no problems finding the Lodge. Margaret and Shaun was there to greet us and we were served an excellent dinner of bobotie (a... More
