The grounds were beautiful, food was good, room was great. Problem - kids were everywhere running a muck! Adult pool was full of unsupervised kids throughout our whole week stay. Sitting at the pool swim up bar, etc. Would not recommend this resort if you want a place to unwind and relax

We stayed at the resort from May 28th to June 11th of this year....It was our second visit to the Riu Jalisco and we were looking forward to seeing the renovations that had taken place since our last visit (Oct.2012). Upon arrival the reception and entrance had lost the mexican flair and was replaced with purples and silver more like... More

My husband and I booked a week stay here from Christmas through New Years Day. We were expecting the same as every other all-inclusive resort we had stayed in over the past several years in Mexico and the Caribbean. What we got was about what we expected. The grounds were kept neat and clean, our room was average, food was... More

overall it was a good stay. The beach is nice, I think it is in one of the best spots in the bay area. The pools are also very nice, especially the swim up bar. we stayed for new years, and of course it was crowded, but even with that, for the meals there was enough sitting area, although the... More

Overcrowded with locales who pay half the price to stay on weekends. Noisy 24/7!!! Service and food at the buffets were excellent. Stay away from the restaurants. Cement floor near the pool was slimy. Sometimes you can eat at the pool, sometimes they told you you couldn't. Our first room stank of cigarettes and old urine. I'm sure vacationing there... More

We stayed at Riu Jalisco about 7 yearss ago. Since then the hotel has had a makeover. The Reception and Dining Room have been 'modernised', as a result it has lost its 'mexican feel'. Our room was pleasant and the maid service excellent. We dined mainly in the buffet and the food usually was good. My wife had an unfortunate... More

We stayed at the Riu Jalisco in June 2014 and were overall impressed with our stay. The hotel has been recently refurbished & this shows as it has more of a modern feel in most of the public areas. The grounds and gardens of the hotel is beautiful and generally spotlessly clean. A couple of improvements should be: 1- food... More

To start the review we arrived on time on our flight to Mexico, the experience of the premium cabin was just as good as we remembered from last time, cabin staff were very attentive and helpful, the meal was lovely and served hot, drinks plentiful. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted with a welcome drink and booked into... More
