We were there the first week in June and it was as if we practically had the place to ourselves. Just wonderful--an absolute "find" and a good value. The service was first rate!!!! I would definitely stay there again. (The dinner we thought was just...good.)

I've never stayed at a chateau before and everything about this place was top end. Service from the reservations desk to the servers was impeccable with everyone doing their best to provide quality service. This isn't budget travel but it is high standard. Sheets were top notch , towels too. Bed was an antique wood carved beauty. Bathroom totally updated... More

We originally booked as the Chateau was able to give us 2 rooms at a good price for a couple of nights. We liked the room, staff, restaurant and location so much we stayed 4 days. It was like being at home with the antique chairs and desk in our room and garden views from the window. The staff were... More

The second stop on our family's trip to Europe - we found the staff friendly and helpful. Staying in this authentic Chateau was an excellent way to begin the main portion of our trip, we enjoyed having "the run of the place" and drinks in the beautiful back garden area was a daily highlight. The breakfast was the best breakfast... More

On this trip, we had just one night to spend in the Loire Valley. The charming Chateau de Pray came highly recommended and exceeded our expectations in every way. The first sight of this visually pleasing property is only the initial taste of an all-encompassing rich experience. Beautifully furnished and decorated, alive with history, magical gardens, fine cuisine ... from... More

Charming host, wonderful accommodations, lovely breakfast, beautiful grounds and a fabulous restaurant. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning. Our room was beautiful. We had cocktails on the terrace. Dinner in the restaurant, L'Orangerie, was fabulous. The whole stay was just perfect.

We had a lovely time at this chateau-turned-boutique hotel. With plenty of on-site parking, its easily accessed location, only a few kilometers from Amboise, was easy to find thanks to ample signage. The chateau offered everything I had hoped; beautiful antique furnishings, stained glass windows, friendly service, and of course cleanliness. We were greeted at the front door by Laur... More

Our group of six family members stayed two nights at Chateau de Pray in mid-April, and it was marvelous. We had a wonderful time there, and the location in the Loire valley was ideal. We found the hotel staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were generously sized, and the bathrooms updated. Breakfast was lovely. Our favorite part... More

Briefly, I'd like to address the issue: I loved the hotel but the service at check out was a little uncomfortable just to say the least. The place is great! Nice rooms, history, setting, location, lovely bathrooms, incredible view, even a good breakfast. Nice quality of sleep. Almost spotless I would say. My only issue was that before check out,... We ended up booking this Chateau because where we were going to stay originally could not accommodate a child (my 11 year old godson, who decided to come last minute). Location: in the outskirts of Amboise, 150 meters from the river Loire. Flanked by a quiet access road and a park and farm, both belonging to the chateau. Hotel: a... More
