A 6.5 hour drive from the aeroport. Very long. But once there, it is lovely. Very private cottages, with your own butler. Very unobtrusive and helpful. Did sweet things, like when we returned from an afternoon game drive there was a hot bubble bath ready! Food was very good. Game drives were well done. We had two naturalists, both excellent.... We stayed for 3 nights and had 6 game drives. Once you have driven the bumpy roads it is a fabulous resort. Atul the ops manager welcomed us and our butler who did a great job was Rahmayan. Food prepared by Head Chef Rahul was superb and he even gives cookery demonstrations. Our naturalist (ranger elsewhere) Hersh was brilliant and... More

We had visited Bandhavgarh in May 2014. We were 2 couples. We reached the nearest railway station Umaria at 8:00PM. There is no transport arrangement from umaria to BandhavGarh so late. We had booked a taxi for the same. It took Rs. 1000. After about 1.5hrs we arrived in Bandhavgarh. The Mahua Kothi is one of the finest Taj Safari... More

This is the hotel to stay in at Bandhavgarh. It is as beautiful as they come. The cottages are tastefully done. Staff is very courteous. They make you feel like you are in your home. Everything that you want or say is fulfilled. The food is excellent. We went with kids and chef took extra care to cook for them... More

So - having done the 'And Beyond' in Africa - a superb trip. Unfortunately for India this set a high bar and also conversely the 'Taj' name sets expectations. Not as 'up market' as I expected. Either advertise as 'basic' for meals as we were told when we arrived or lift up (which should not be hard to do -... More

After travelling the 2nd time through India for 20 days, my wife and me spent 2 nights in Bandhavgarhs „Mahua Kothi Cottage“. The "TAJ" name is their label: in 2 words: Just wonderful! Unfortunately we spent only 2 nights in this paradise where all the staff is reading your wishes from your eyes. Everybody totally helpful and highly friendly. You... More

It's hard to believe that you are in the jungle when you stay at this lodge. The room was outstanding and the setting outstanding. The staff could not do more. The food served at the lodge was wonderful and fresh

Location- beautifully located surrounding jungle and the premise itself looks like jungle. The entrance surrounded by bushes, it takes 5 min to reach the hotel premise crossing rough exciting terrain. Rooms- any amount of praise will be less. You have to be there to feel it. Decently sized wooden tents with glass roof, highly comfortable and spacious wash room with... More

Mahua Kothi Bandhavgarh Jungle Lodge was truly a great place to stay. We were here with a group of friends to see the wild tigers. Our room was very comfortable. The king-size bed was great. Loved having two sinks in the room and the shower with the large shower head was fantastic. The separate bathtub was also very nice for... More
