Taj groups has always been our blind choice as they never fail to surprise us everytime we visit a property of theirs and Mahua kothi is no different. The first word that I said as entered our cottage was a biggggg WOW.The earthly decor of the cottage truly gives u the feeling of staying amidst jungle but in a very... More

On a safari holiday one wishes to see a good variety of wildlife but I also want a bit of comfort without having to rough it out in the bush. The Mahua Kothi lodge operated by the Taj group of hotels ticks all boxes perfectly. In a 45 acre property, there are only 12 lodges, which makes for very low... More

Traveled with co-workers - had a work trip to India and decided to see something besides the cities. The rooms are all separate buildings with courtyards and very comfortable. You might find some extra visitors in your room, but the staff will remedy it very quickly. Service is excellent and the food was very well prepared. I didn't like everything,... More

What a wonderful experience, the "room" more like suites than rooms, are set apart and give you the privacy and lux that is appreciated. Rose petal baths for two nights and dinner under the stars added to the experience. The food was great too, Indian cuisine by the plate full but for those unable to take chilli they were happy... Starting from lovely ride (minus the last 10 kms) from Kanha, awesome room, great staff who are willing to bend backwards to keep you happy, an excellent chef this place has it all. The in house naturalists from the resort accompany you on all your safari rides and are well informed about the jungles. They can give you a wealth... More

An absolutely wonderful place! Could not have asked for better. The people were so friendly and helpful and really made you feel welcome. The food was spectacular - huge variety, wonderfully cooked, if you wanted something specific they would go to the trouble of making it especially for you, the naan bread was divine and overall the food was incredible!... We drove in from Khajuraho to Bandhavgarh. It was a long drive on average quality roads with the last leg of around 30 km odd being quite tedious given the half built road. However, the road journey between Jabalpur and Bandhavgarh is excellent (we took this on the way out) and probably should be the way in too depending on... More

Taj. The word defines the experiences. One wonders how the huge Chain would recreate itself and Match its standards the world over, right in the middle of a jungle in the heart of India. Taj does it with utmost ease. The cottages are beautiful and give an earthen feel along with being extremely comfortable and well equipped. The food is... More

A 6.5 hour drive from the aeroport. Very long. But once there, it is lovely. Very private cottages, with your own butler. Very unobtrusive and helpful. Did sweet things, like when we returned from an afternoon game drive there was a hot bubble bath ready! Food was very good. Game drives were well done. We had two naturalists, both excellent.... We stayed for 3 nights and had 6 game drives. Once you have driven the bumpy roads it is a fabulous resort. Atul the ops manager welcomed us and our butler who did a great job was Rahmayan. Food prepared by Head Chef Rahul was superb and he even gives cookery demonstrations. Our naturalist (ranger elsewhere) Hersh was brilliant and... More
