There was not current supply for at least 24 hrs... They didn't provide hot water. They also didn't provide us with extra blankets. On the up side..the food is good , the rooms are real big.. They should have generators..

The best thing about KMVN Sitlakhet it has a very personal touch in it. There are only 8 rooms in the rest house, so staffs can pay you that much extra attention. The location is good, on a hilltop, giving almost clear view of the Himalayan range. During winters the range almost remains clear 100% time. The sunset is superb.... More

First things first! - Route to Sitlakhet People driving from Delhi/Noida/Gurgaon etc who have time in hand, must travel to Sitlakhet through this route - Delhi-Moradabad-Kashipur-Ramnagar-Mohan-Ranikhet-Sitlakhet. The most valid reason for the same is the breathtaking Himalayan peak view which gives you company once you move closer to Ranikhet on the way. 2nd reason is that the roads beyond Mohan... More

Sitlakhet is very beautiful and non touristy. Kmvn is excellent staff is very helpful and nice. Rooms were big and comfortable. We took a walk in the forest. However no snow peak mountains could be seen though it was a clear day.

We had high hopes from this place but it was a bit of a let down. In terms of view the guest house only offered an overview of Almora city, in daytime or night. No ranges per se were visible from the guesthouse. However, with your own vehicle you could drive up the nearby forests and there we saw a... More

We reached here from Delhi by road middle of the night and welcomed with hot soups, what else can one expect from a place about which traffic of Ranikhet is not aware. The view from the balcony during the sunrise just too good to be expressed in words. For every couple, it is a must visit place.

Sitalakhet is a small and slightly remote village in Uttarakhand at approx 30 Km from Ranikhet. The drive from Rnikhet is bunmby at patches but has beautiful view all around. The only place to stay there is KMVN TRH ( there could be other guest house like stuff). As in all other KMVN TRHs this too is located at the... More

Sitalakhet is a beautiful quiet place for people who just want to relax away from the hectic city life. KMVN Sitlakhet is the best government accomodation we have come across. We visited this place in april 2012 and stayed there for 3 days.IN these 3 days there was only one guest other than us and that two for a night... More

Sitlakhet is a small beautiful, quiet and enchanting place.... but only for nature lovers, cause all you'll see around you are forests ,forests and forests. You can hear and see many varieties of birds , do trekking and just feel the clean air. Awesome place but again remember its for peace seekers ....far from the maddening crowd. The staff is very... If you want a very quiet vacation, Sitlakhet is the place. Its a small village and all who you encounter are local people. Apart from the Forest Rest House next door, there are no other accommodation are available. The KMVN is beautifully located. The view from the balcony of the rooms are breathtaking. With the snow range beautifully visible, you... More
