The Himalayan Anchor is a comfortable and cozy place. The cottage is built tastefully and meets the expectations of the guests. Ganesh, the caretaker, is caring and helpful and cooks healthy and homely meals. As the market is nearby, we enjoyed the delicious and juicy mountain fruits! The Children's Park near the market was a good pass time for our... More

If you want to unwind yourself from the city life and also don't want to be in a typical hill station like Nainital in peak summer season then this is the place for you! Away from the crowds of busy hill station is this tastefully done and maintained cottage which can accommodate two families. It has good views from the... More

We had a wonderful stay here with some amazing company and cool clime!! Cosy, comfortable, homely and scenic are some words to describe it. Each room is well ventilated and sunny!! The unobstructed view of the snow-clad mountains is ethereal!! One can spend hours just sitting in the balcony gazing at the view. It has some great treks around it.... More

An excellent place to stay and a breathtaking view allround !!! So close to nature and fantastic trekking trails from the accomodation venue. The hospitality of the owner and the caretaker is what makes it one of the best place to unwind. I stayed at Himalayan Anchor for 3 nights with 2 of my friends. We had an entire cottage to ourselves. The cottage is beautifully built, nicely kept and tastefully decorated...in fact felt like a little version of the house we had in USA...and the spectacular view of the mountain range was an added charm! The caretaker is a very sweet... More

I have stayed at many onbeat and offbeat abodes across the globe, from costiliest to cheapest, scenic to chaotic - there is no match for this Himalayan Anchor. The unobstracted view to snow clad mountains is exhilarating, nostalgic and invigorating. Absolute cosy, warm and modern home feeling. Must stay for PEACE OF MIND

An excellent location , very cosy and comfortable inside with a real fireplace and a swell housekeeper. The property sits on the edge and there is just another one next to it. A small walk down the main road ( park your SUVs on top , but small cars can drive to the property) . The insides are done in... More

After many years, my entire family got a chance to holiday together. And what a holiday we had. The cottage was cozy, self sufficient and the view was truly amazing and unobstructed. It was like relaxing at home - just what we all wanted. It is such a tranquil place and allows for peaceful walks in the morning and evening.... More

Thanks, quite frankly your thoughts echo what me and my husband had thought prior to this venture - A quite, beautiful sojourn away from the hustle and bustle of city, almost like a home away from home, with the addition of Ganesh (of course). It would be pleasure to have you again. More

I think the place was awsome and what added to the whole set up was the prettiest location in Ranikhet probably located on the table top... I would recommend the himalayan anchor to all those who want a break from the city hustle and want to spend some quality peaceful time with their families in the hills! Food preparation was... More
