I am from the travel trade and an ardent traveller myself. This is amonst one of the WORST properies I have come across. RTDC should shut it down immediately untill Refitting/Renovation is done. It is not worth living even for free. Since we, I and my wife, had reached in the evening had no alternative but to spend a night... More

We went as group of 16 and stayed at the property for 1 night. Positives : It's a old lake palace but badly maintained by RTDC Staff are friendly and it's on top of a hill above the Siliserh lake Basic food and room Negative : Below average food Final verdict : You may just land there to have some... I stayed here for couple of days with friends and family ..the service is not up to the mark ..but when you are staying in a Govt accommodation and the palace itself is a heritage kind of building what else you can expect. BUT the location of the hotel amazing you can get up early in the morning and see... More

I stayed there for one night because I had to enjoy early morning by lake side and mountains and I very well did that. As said by many others, the only advantage is kind of view that you get from hotel - thats pretty amazing and you can have that by paying Rs 50 fee. Hotel staff, food , room... More

This palace and hunting lodge was supposedly built by the ruler of Alwar from his wife. A stunninly located place with every room facing the pristine Lake Siliserh, this must have once been a place that one dreams of. Instead, now, maintained by RTDC, the place looks completely haunted. Forget any upgrades. There is zero maintenance. In some places, the... More

The hotel is rundown, old and dirty. I was tempted to give 1 star but location is so good i could not. We stayed here as a group in first week of Dec 2014. The rooms are odd shaped and sized have good area but look extremely small. Toilets are basic. Geyser in my room was not working. The reception... More

Ambience is awesum..credit solely goes to the location.... very poor maintenance & service...broken lamps, ac not working..no connection in TV... room condition kinda very average... food was ok! In short, dont expect luxury or pampering..but may visit given the awesum location dat ensures a feel good among all odds!!!

This place is prime example of how everything that falls in government hands starts rotting. I stayed here with my family on October 25 and had the worst experience of my life. The palace is swarming with insects of all kinds you can find on earth and lizards of the gigantic variety. I had some 10 lizards in my AC... More

The word ‘Palace’ creates a wrong illusion about this hotel. It’s more like a Ramsay Brothers’ “Purana Haveli” type of a property. Yes, it was built by a Maharaja and was meant to be a hunting lodge once upon a time. Now the property is run by RTDC. The only positive about this place is its location and the view... More
