On our way from Serengeti to Masai Mara we stayed 2 nights at the lodge. The houses were in super condition, very nice design and very functional. It was modern without loosing the African atmosphere. The manager was very helpful with everything and his employees as well. The food was very good. The boattrip to the nearby village was a... More

After the busy & so-stimulating pace of our safari, this is a great place to stay. We use this to overnight between the Serengeti & the Mara in Kenya. Peaceful, clean, right on the lake (if we were any closer to the lake, our feet would get wet!) and the food is good. They make this fabulous little cake in... More

Unlike the reviewer who has suggested you could drop in for a meal or a drink, that was not the case for us. I stopped by in late November with my driver/guide. We were told by a very rude owner or manager that we could not stop in for a meal. So I find it interesting that others have done... More

Actually, I never stayed overnight in Speke Bay Lodge. Just visited many times on my way to or back from Mwanza. The lodge is situated on the Lake Victoria Speke Bay shore, just a few kilometers from Lamadi village, and a few hundred meters from the main Mwanza-Musoma highway. The good thing which helps to preserve serenity in the lodge... More

We stayed here in September for 1 night, in 1 one of the lodges. The place is absolutely fabulous. The lodges (houses) either have an amazing view over Lake Victoria or over the savannah. Lodges are spacious enough for 2 people with a double bed, very modern bathroom, desk, and huge closets which function as saves as well (handy to... More

The lake view bungalow is very nice, because all facilities are using solar power, there are few hours in the day has no power supply. The back yard is big can see many birds. The food is just ok, or everything else is good.

Stayed for 2 days as part of a safari tour. The location is stunning and the view from our lodge over Lake Victoria was beautiful. The lodge itself was more basic than we had become used to but maybe that was due the previous high standards at Sopa and Serena lodges. It was nice to sit out on the veranda and... More

Our family stayed just one night in 3 of the beach front lodges, if we had known just how good this place was we would have stayed more. The location is stunning, the buildings are just right, well appointed with excellent bathrooms and beds, with amazing views. The meals where outstanding, the bar well stocked and staff friendly and efficient.... More

This lodge is built in the style of Tanzanian huts with thatched peaked roof but interestingly, at least in the rooms, the ceiling is made of either aluminium or galvanised iron. It is located on the shores of Lake Victoria that can have various moods but the place is secluded and very peaceful. One can walk around the deserted shores... More

We stayed in the tented lodges and were comfortable. We were the only people staying in that part so it wasn't too difficult to share the showers and toilets. I was most impressed with the service and friendliness of the workers. I introduced myself to one worker, Adam, who remembered my name as well as the names of other members... More
