I discovered Karibuni Lodge in June of 2011, just about the same time I had grown weary with all the other accommodation options in Kitale. And I've been a regular customer ever since! It's like a 'home away from home', where everyone is friendly and like a family.

A small way from the city centre, but in the quiet suburbs. The food was delicious, some of the best good we had in Kenya, and one if the best curries I've had in a very long time. All very reasonably priced. Theresa the owner was incredibly helpful to us when out driver had messed us up entirely. The rooms... More

Stayed for 3 nights, was extremely comfortable, good food- and amazing value for money. Great for travellers on a low budget, this place has all you need. There's nothing more I could've asked for, staff are so nice, and really chilled vibe.

Great place! Stayed there several times with stunning view over the gardens, Friendly and helpful staff and delicious food! In special i loved the local store inside the lodge. The local handcraft is nice and the local people run the store are so kind!

I stayed here for 6 nights and don't have any complaints! They accommodated me perfectly since I literally showed up on the spot having never heard of the place and didn't have a reservation. I stayed in a room that had a queen bed and a full bed and it was exactly what I was looking for. Quiet, peaceful, CLEAN,... More

Traveling with a youth mission group and we stayed at the Karibuni Lodge for a couple of nights while in Kitale. Theresa and her team did a terrific job taking care of us. We received a heartfelt welcome upon arrival before dividing up into our individual cabins. It's not plush, but certainly rustic, inviting and memorable. There's a nice range... More

10 of us visited Karibuni Lodge in 2012 before and after our work with churches, schools and an orphanage in the Bungoma County. Just four of us this year, stayed for three nights after our work and it was as good as ever, Theresa, Ibrahim and Elvis, (not to mention the children!) looking after us very well. I had the... I can't even put into words how wonderful the staff made us feel during our stay. Everyone was so kind and helpful! They were truly wonderful, would definitely go back to Karibuni lodge again. I felt safe, secure, clean and fed! The food was unbelievable! We cleaned off our plates every night!

For my first time going to Kenya, Karibuni lodge was the best place to stay during my journey. Our group stayed there for two weeks during a humanitarian trip. The beds are very comfy and the cleaning staff keep the rooms very well kept. The showers are wonderful especially the outdoor charcoal heated ones. Ibrahim is an amazing chef and... More

The Karibuni Lodge is a great place to stay in Kitale, Kenya. It is a hidden oasis with wonderful homemade meals and a quiet garden for relaxing. The owners are great - Teresa and Abraham - and very accommodating. The showers have hot water, and there are group houses available. Animal lovers will also be happy to meet the four... More
