This house is difficult to review because it has good points and not so good points. The good points: the house is wonderful. Five generations of Mr Crispin's family have lived here and the house has been extended considerably from its humble beginnings to include an internal courtyard. The family looked after us well, frequently offering drinks and snacks. We... More

Mr Crispin made the stay extremely memorable and beautiful. Its a heritage property and whatever I write here would not justify the beauty of the house. What touched us the most was his hospitality and his happy nature.I could use their kitchen for cooking for our little son and my Mother who was not well.He did not even charge us for the... We had a fantastic home stay and trip on the St Crispin houseboat. The houseboat exceeded all expectations - it was a completely blissful experience. The boat was fabulous and comfortable and the food marvellous too. We stopped to buy fresh lobster which the chef cooked beautifully. We loved our time at the homestay too. The children loved all the... More

I was apprehensive when I booked a package with Mr. Crispin for one night at heritage home and one on his houseboat. I had cancelled my Allepy visit and booked this on someone's recommendation. But I must admit this was the best part of my 3 week Kerala trip. I had the best foods ( both at this heritage home... More

Without the owner escorting us it was impossible for us to reach the resort located in dense mix of old Kerala style houses, bungalows and small lanes and bylanes. But once we were there, it was a pleasant view of a 150+ years old house, well maintained and decorated with antiques, curios, plants and photographs. We had asked the owner... More

Kodianthara Heritage Homeis a magical place, where u can experience living in traditional Kerala home, try south indian cuisine and charge your batteries. Beautiful surroundings, wonderful hosts, and amazing places to see. Everyone will find something to do, backwaters, beautiful Marari beach just across the lake, temples, or a chance to grab your book and read in a beautiful garden... More

We stayed one night in Kodianthara Heritage Home and a further night on Crispin's houseboat. We enjoyed our stay, however there were some elements that detracted from our overall experience. We were welcomed very warmly by Crispin and Soni to their home which is a local landmark. The house and surrounding grounds are interesting, quirky and relaxing, and we had... More

This was the second time I visited Kodianthara Heritage Home with my friends from Oxford, UK. If you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil time, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a Homestay for a few days. I would suggest that you should stay for at least 3- 4 days, so that you could get a feel... More

We stayed for 3 nights as part of our Kumarakom-Alleppey-Vagamon trip of Kerala. We were welcomed with warmth and ushered into our cottage. The point with a homestay is (and I have stayed in a few now) is that your mood tends to reflect the hosts' a bit and so on our first day, the lady of the house was... More

Starting from our journey from our home town till we came back, the trip was more than what we expected it to be... This was a very unique experience because any trip will be a mixture of uncertainties & mishappenings but this one was certain and well guided... "Mr.Crispin" is how I addressed him earlier but now it sounds so... More
