I had visited this beautiful resort in June 2014 along with my aunt and parents and this was the most memorable part of our Kerela holiday. The attentiveness and personal involvement of the staff - from the restaurant manager to the concierge desk and the GM himself, is unparalled and they advised us on every aspect of our stay in... We were provided a free upgrade since we had to checkin early which was good but they charged us for that is not good . The resort has it own lagoon , canal , boat jetty .. Which is good . The resort is very calm and quite with just 28 rooms so lesser crowd. It's heritage property and the... More

Stayed two nights early Jan 2015 as part of a whistlestop tour of beautiful Kerala. The staff are most attentive and obviously proud of their hotel. The managers were visibly available at all times and could not do enough to make guests feel at home. I requested for a tailor to make me a saree blouse overnight and the house... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was extremely peaceful. If you want to get away from it all stay here, there is only one restaurant but the menu is extensive. And the stand out here was the food, it was the best food we had in India over a 4 week trip. On the 3rd day we were... More

I am at a loss to understand people who rave about this hotel. It makes Fawlty Towers look good! Yes the setting and history are wonderful but it just does not cater for foreigners. Even German Indians were complaining. Our reception was cold and no greeting although I had emailed ahead to say we would be arriving after a hideous... More

Quite, serene, a great place to carry a few books and really relax. I have seen much nicer Taj properties across India in terms of room interiors and upkeep. But I am not complaining - it was beautiful. I really love this property for the very nice staff. They were helpful and alert. The food was fabulous. The fish curry,... More

We stayed here on our honeymoon, this being the second stay after Taj, Malabar and we wished instead of the two days, we could have stayed here longer. The property is an old English colonial house built in front of lake. The hotel cottages all face this lake. The initial welcome from the manager made us feel right at home.... More

I stayed here for 2 days. In deluxe Allure suite. It was east facing. Rooms were nice.. Food could have been made even more tastier.. We spent 40000 for 2 days.Lil expensive. Front desk were very cooperative.property was excellent. But the country boat experience was not so great.
