We found this property of Abads to be the best amongst their properties in Kerala (we had visited Kochi, Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey). We had the best time of our honeymoon at this place. The hotel has a thumbs up in terms of property, rooms, service, ambience , location and view of the Vembanad lake . However I wont call the cuisine interesting at all if you are looking for authentic kumarakom food which is famous for lobsters, pearl spot fish and tiger prawns. We have stayed in whispering palms in Dec 2007. It was an amazing experience. It is right situated on the lake with amazing view. Food is very nice, swimming pool great and staff is very courteaous. We stayed in bamboo cottage because lake cottages were not available. However, we found that bamboo cottages are better bcas they are more spacious.... more
