The heritage bungalows are lovely. The outside showers good but do attract mosquitoes! We had a relaxing 4 days to soak up some sun after moving around every 2 days. The pool was nice although we were glad we weren't there when it was full as there is definately a lack of sun loungers. Good food In the restaurant although... More

What a beautiful place to stay. We were 3 women of a certain age on a private tour of kerala We arrived by boat and were met by a trio playing local music. The location is absolutely stunning and the accommodation was beautiful and spotlessly clean. I read somewhere that this one of the places to stay before you die... More

This beautifully appointed hotel is set on the river's edge and nestled against the large lagoon. Access to the hotel is by boat only and one is warmly welcomed upon arrival. Our accommodation was spacious and the hotel has a 5 star. If visiting Kerala it really is a must visit hotel especially if your next trip is on a... More

The only access to the wonderful Coconut Lagoon in Kumarakom is by boat. We had a typical houseboat that took us from Allepuzza to Kumarakom in 5 hours over the fantastic Backwaters. When we arrived at the Coconut Lagoon, the view of the hotel reception, the bungalows and setting in the green with the little canals crossing the whole village... More

Coconut Lagoon is different. Its an experience confined to the traveller and nature and not much in between. There is water everywhere, lush vegetation, birds and a few cows (they rear a special breed that gives excess milk compared to its body size). If this is what you need to recoup and rejuvenate, then Coconut Lagoon is the place for... More

I must say that we had one of the best experiences in India during our stay here. The experience of the boat to the reception, roof open showers, ayurvedic massage, gym windows overlooking the lake. The food is pretty decent but not exceptional. The property in itself is beautiful. Dont forget to walk around and check the butterfly farm.

CGH has again proved that they are just amazing. It was a surprise visit organised by my wife & my son, for my birthday. We stayed in pool villa & I will never forget the ambiance of the property, the attitude of the staff, the taste of food, etc. etc. Mr. Jeje is working hard to make sure that the... More

Hard, uncomfortable beds, overpriced food and indifferent restaurant service. It has a nice setting and offers a complimentary boat ride out in the lake. The open air shower was quite special. I wonder if the tipping policy of not giving individual tips, only anonomous ones left in a box really is the best approach.
